Music Discussion!

My taste in music can be summed up as K-pop and Disco. But K-pop is pretty broad so I'd say my tastes are pretty open.
Basically if it's funky, I'm guaranteed to like it.My favorite artists are:
AfterSchool
Wonder Girls
Ladies Code
Stellar
EXIDEXID, Stellar, and Ladies Code I feel would do really well in the west, but AfterSchool is my all time favorite.

I used to have a Death/Black Metal period way back in highschool but right now it's mostly trip hop while working and rock/jrock otherwise.
Some notable trip hop mentions:
As for jrock:
MUCC <3
BUCK-TICK <3
the GazettE
RADWIMPS

Well, here's my top 3 artists:
AC/DC (Hard rock)
Synergy (Analog synth)
The Rainmakers (Rock 'n' roll)
Among many other genres, I also like hardcore rave and...brutal death metal (listener discretion advised). XD

I have special place in my heart for Video game music, thus, bands like Machinae Supremacy, The Black Mages, Crow's Claw and Demetori are some of my favorite bands. But I do like other music as well. Bands and artists like Nightwish, Within Temptation, Scooter, The Prodigy, Swedish House Mafia (And solo careers that has followed the breakup), Alesso are on my playlist constantly. I do occasionally Listen to stuff like Kaija Koo, Apulanta and Popeda, but those are Finnish, and I'm fairly certain you don't care about them.

@ThatJapaneseDude I was pretty obsessed with that True Survivor for awhile. Hoff at his best.

I have pretty broad and eclectic tastes. I pretty much like something in every genre except the most specific. Rap and country are probably my least liked, but even then I like artists in each of those genres.
I recently made a mix cd for my bf, so I've been listening to a lot of 80s and 90s. So Willy Deville, Crowded House, Madness, Erasure, Dire Straits etc.
I have also dived back in to Jpop/Jrock/anime music lately. A lot of classic B'z and Gackt, and Yoko Kanno soundtracks.
-
I'd say that my tastes are pretty broad and I listen to most genres of music. I do however tend to prefer rock, metal and electronic while seldom enjoying RnB, rap, country and jazz.
I also put a higher value on the music over the lyrics. It's rare that I will listen to a song because of the lyrics, in fact I tend to care very little about lyrics. Some examples of what I enjoy:
Lazerhawk - Overdrive
a-ha - Stay On These Roads
VNV Nation - Primary
Journey - Don't Stop Believing
Don Omar - Hasta Que Salga El Sol
Dark Tranquillity - Fabric
The Birthday Massacre - Red Stars
WORLD ORDER in New York
Deathstars - Cyanide
Metallica - Unforgiven
E nomine - Vater Unser

@Blueturtle Russian Roulette is such a jam! Love Red Velvet.

I love threads like this cause I'm always on the lookout for new music (stuff I've never heard) and never know where to find it...So keep the recommendations coming. I'm mostly into jambands (phish, grateful dead), newgrass (sam bush, leftover salmon, ymsb, string cheese), classic rock, and alternative/radio hits from the 80s and 90s.
