MASSIVE Username problem

(Literally :smile:) - sorry about the sensationalist heading, I couldn't resist the play on words.
I don't know if this would break things for the EZA crew's back end, but is it possible to have the ability to make slightly longer usernames?
(at least add two more characters so I can make mine selfconfessedcynic like it is on Giant Bomb, Neogaf, Twitch and like everywhere else :yum: )
Otherwise, love the site and forums design guys. Clean and pretty all at once.
