It seems this 200 was maybe too much for the folks. And the rule about reasoning the kills with another game from the list is a good addition to the game in general, but perhaps this wasn't the best time to add that into the mix because of the already huge task ahead.
But I'm not saying that we're giving up! The pace is just a little slower, at least now. And it'll feel rewarding after finally at some point getting through it all.

@Sentinel-Beach I assure you this will be the only time the list will be so large. Everything should be manageable from after this thread. Why not add the reasoning rule to this list? It may be daunting, but the truly passionate are not afraid to defend their opinions, as yourself and others have done. For pace of play, there must be several factors to take into account: Availability to play; disinterest; strategy; more interesting threads/topics throughout the forums; straight up forgetting. Whatever anyone's reasons to post, or to your point NOT post, there must be patience.
Now, I figured 200 was large enough to justify waiting for only one other person to play but that's where the redundancy of the 6 hours comes in. I try not to kill because I want this to be a community effort. However, I have a self-imposed rule where if I kill three times in a row, the thread is dead. Thankfully I haven't come near that point yet, but doing so lets me know that the thread is no longer of interest.
I can tell you are one of, if not the most ardent player, so your satisfaction will be justified because yourself and a small number of others make the case of what games deserve to be in the discussion as having staying power. So, when it gets down to the strawpoll, don't be surprised if you see not one but two games you enjoy make it. Everyone has the power. You just choose to use it. ;-)

UltimaKilling Final Fantasy X. As a Final Fantasy fan, this game truly hurt. The story was cringeworthy levels of cheesiness with romance that made no sense and felt like it was written by a 14 year-old boy and bad character development that didn't give me a single reason to care about any of the cast members. They tried to flesh out Auron's and Jecht's past, but it was tact on and wasn't integrated naturally within the story, while the rest characters were shallow. Now, a bad story with shallow characters isn't new to FF, but this one really outdid itself and at least other FFs had the gameplay to fall back on. This FF, however, chose a vastly more linear approach to prior FFs in favour of it's poorly crafted story killing the enjoyment of exploring an original fantasy world and finding secrets. It's the only FF other than XIII that I didn't really enjoy (so far). It's only saving grace was it's battle system, which wasn't anywhere near good enough to redeem the whole experience.
I'll have to champion Final Fantasy VI as it is an example of a good, strong FF. With great characters like Celes who has relateable weaknesses and struggles and she deals with them as you progress through the game (SPOILER: including attempted suicide) and Kefka, a nutty, unpredicable villain who SPOILER: actually sorta achieves his goal in destroying the world. Also the gameplay, with the awesome ATB battle system and lots of party members to recruit (many of which are optional later in the game) with surprisingly varied playstyles for a turn-based RPG. Also, once you hit SPOILER: the World of Ruin the exploration is goddamn magnificent! And let's not forget that Opera Scene!

Geometry Wars: Retro EvolvedGeometry Wars looks like a game that'll give me headache after only a brief moment. For something less flashy and slower I'd take the first Assassin's Creed with its calm pace and clear visuals.

First: This round didn't hurt as much on the whole as the last round, but seeing Uncharted 2, Borderlands, Pong, and Gran Turismo all bite the bullet stings. However, Final Fantasy X being erased right at the end really hurts. If only it could last two to three more kills. Speaking of which...
@MegaTen_out_of_10 Coincidentally, we are on polar sides of both X and VI, but I'm happy to see your reasons for killing off X. I love the game for a couple of reasons that you hate it and I couldn't get into VI for a couple of reasons you love. I love the series as a whole for providing such diversity.

Honestly, this length of list, the way we are posting kills, and the new rules require me to like, either take copious physical notes or scroll around for like 10 minutes on my phone to kill anything. The fact that this list is at least 1/3 made up of games we've killed 2x already immediately before this... not trying to be critical, and I'm happy other people are participating but this is why. It took me less time to write all this than it takes for me to determine whether a game has already been killed or not on mobile.
I'll be back when the list is more focused and easier to navigate. Right now, it is frustrating and difficult to even see, let alone participate in.
