I Need Help Selecting 1440p monitor from these choices
-
^ There are no HDR monitors out there and thats makes things worse because if I buy the 4k monitor now without then I would have to buy another 4k monitor with hdr.
-
@MSBi Oh wow... In that case, I really don't know. Anyone want to weigh in on how significant HDR is? You may want to go cheaper and just wait for that option. I see your dilemma.

Go for a 1080p display with HDR. The problem with 4K right now is that the vast majority have pretty shit response times. So like controller inputs will happen with a slight delay, which I personally cannot stand.
IMO HDR is a bigger deal than 4k. True white to black? Hnnng.
Also, PS4 Pro won't be true 4K, so there is also that.

Hey you know what I have found a monitor with 10 bit hdr its this one:
I am so relieved!

I only have one question will games look ugly on 4k monitor if you are running them in 1080p?
-
You need to find a 1440p monitor at minum does 120hz. Thats the sweet spot for PS4 pro

Try and find one of these near you (this specific one is local pickup only):

I would personally go for a 1080p TV. I know that might sound weird, but I think that 4k are still "too new" and its too early to invest in one now when in a years time they will be much better and cheaper. They also say that in order to enjoy 4k you should sit between 4-6ft away from the screen. Also what good are a 4k tv if you got no games? ;D - But its up to you really!

For £350, you won't find much better than this:

I haven't bought a monitor in a very long time so I'm pretty uninformed
I do know to take a very close look at the input lag if you get a tv (I don't think that this is as big deal with monitors). Also, people say that HDR is a bigger deal than 4k, but its still in its infancy and introduces some input lag.
I would personally get a 1080p now, save some money, and get a good 4kHDR set when the price comes down in a few years....but that LG you found looks pretty good.

Thanks very much allies for your opinion. I just went with 4k because i just dont see the point in not getting one for pro which is prinarily built for this technology. I am still unsure whether the monitor will make 1080p games look blurry on 4k tv

I have a 21:9 60hz 1080p monitor that I LOVE. A similar 4k monitor would cost as 3x as much as this one did. So, I'll be waiting for a bit. Like, a couple years at least, when the price comes down and the tech of the things attached to it catch up completely. Note: I am a PC gamer and playing at 4k right now makes no sense.

Hey guys. I did a little bit of research and found that there is some blurriness when playing 1080p. I have retracted my purchase as it is very pricey so I am back to square one plus I am unsure how quickly we will be seeing 4k games on ps4 pro to warrant a 4k purchase.
So I am thinking of going with 1440p but I don't know what size or model to get.

If you guys have any other suggestions then please mention it.
