The Top 100 Videogames ever! (Send me your list! Deadline Oct. 10th)
-
I think this thread should get a bump from time to time now so that more people would see it. We have 27 people now who have given their lists, it appears. In my mind, (at least) 50 would be a nice round number. Thankfully we still have like a dozen days left.
-
We need to figure out how we get the Allies to send in their lists! :P :D
-
Sent my list, it's a bit skewed towards one genre in particular but they are my most loved games
-
@Exist-2-Inspire RIGHT?!?!

I don't count. Generally, though, I don't play that many games because I enjoy even fewer.
Same here. I have no current gen games on my list, and only two from last gen, one of them a cheap downloadable game. The last game I beat was Wind Waker HD, in 2014. I've only played 5 new games since then, one of them a sequel to said cheap downloadable game. I also have one game that's been sitting unopened on my shelf for a year (it came out 2 years ago). This is mostly due to pickiness, but the cost of new games is a factor too.
But thankfully, I've been gaming since 1997, so putting together a top 30 without any filler isn't a struggle.
-
@Oscillator Damn, that's a lot fewer than me! The Wind Waker is a good one to complete, but give newer games like Abzu, Inside, and Life is Strange a go too.
-
@Haru17 I keep seeing "Life is Strange" on lists of games people should play. Still I don't see much talk about it on the game itself. Is it worth picking up or is it a bit of a "too girly" game?
-
@Lotias It's an emotional game, and a very good one too. Great moments with really well-placed music and all. And the characters feel real and life-like. They talk normal stuff that doesn't feel written at all. I loved that. So if you would like to FEEL something in a game you should definitely give it a try. (It can't be more than 20 $/€ now, I imagine.)
-
@Lotias I don't think the characters' gender should put you off of the game. It certainly does focus on the female students, and there're definitely gender dynamics at play, but the Oregon boarding school setting is more pulp noir than anything. You get a lot out of both the rewind mechanic and snooping through people's rooms. Definitely check it out if you're at all interested by adventure games—it's the most interesting one since at least The Walking Dead.
-
@Exist-2-Inspire What do you do in a situations like DMC3 and DMC3: SE, MGS2: SoL and MGS2: Substance, Dragon's Dogma and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen? Do you keep them as same or separate them even if they are the same game with added extra? How about remakes and remasters?
-
Gimme gimme more
Gimme more
Gimme gimme moreUmm... I mean, give our hero Eric here more of your lists, please. Because this earns to be big.
-
We reached 30 lists!
-
@Exist-2-Inspire Yaay! can we get 20 more within 2 weeks?
-
Well it's only one week :D
-
Working on mine now. Top 100 is damn difficult!
-
@Churchy You did realize that you need to only tell your top 30... @Exist-2-Inspire will make the top 100 based on our lists.
-
I did my top 50 a few years ago, so I sent my 30 off as the work was already done :)
