Favorite video game songs?

This is one of my all time favorite songs, and I use it as my ringtone :P
This is also legendary song from that era of gaming:
This is not as great game in my opinion, but the theme song is epic:
Lastly, but definitely not least, this little gem:
Yes, I feel old at times, but Amiga had some of the most epic soundtracks ever made in my honest opinion. That doesn't mean I don't like newer music, but these are just some of my favorites, which are often left to dust by masterpieces by Nobuo Uematsu and Harry Gregson-Williams for example.

@jipostus Haven't played any of those games but man are those songs good!
Also, I haven't played any of the Persona games yet so I'm holding off on listening to those songs til I do. Will hopefully remedy that in the near future!

I never even played this game before, but this track is SO INTENSE. It sounds so well done. This is something I would want playing when I ride into battle.

Whoops, looks like I pumped myself up.

Cave Story definitely stands out for me as the best music I can remember from any game I've played.

I'd say the best two from Cave Story are Safety

and Last Battle,

the latter of which has this amazing this remix
Youtube VideoHonorable mention goes to the Silph Co theme from Pokemon Red/Blue.
I hope naming this many isn't cheating

I have to be picky on these since I listen to a lot of video games soundtracks.
First choice belong to my favorite series, Fallout.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZZKzJTGI9E
Fallout soundtracks always were highly atmospheric, but this one, holy moly. I love The Glow itself and its theme. These two have a certain level of mystery - the quest related to The Glow is given by the Brotherhood of Steel and in order to enter their basement you have to found a lost patrol. So this zone is all about mood and discovery - and this is why this area/OST stands as (I guess) my favorite area and soundtrack. My second choice goes for Jet Set Radio -again one of my favorite games- and I can't really decide which tracks pick since they are all great in their own manners.

Mega Man 2, just Mega Man 2.
The 8-bit era was the first with really great music, and it was at an economy of instruments an simultaneous instruments. MM2 is easily the best of that era. Everything else is just fluff added to existing greatness.

A lot of great picks, I want to add a couple, glad Celtic Moon was mentioned
FFV probably has the most underrated sound track, at least for me
Youtube VideoTales of Vesperia - Tragic Decision

@ACardAttack FFV is definitely underrated. Great soundtrack, great game. I loved its job system, but wish it made it a little easier to grind.

Silent Hill 2's Theme of Laura. Favourite video game theme that hasn't already been posted, and favourite theme to play on the guitar. So damned good.
