SATAIII is worth upgrading to the Pro imo. In theory load times should half if you have a SSD.
You can buy a $960GB SSD for $211USD at amazon. https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-2-5-Inch-Height-SDSSDHII-960G-G25/dp/B00M8ABHVQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1476487754&sr=1-1&keywords=ssd&refinements=p_n_feature_three_browse-bin%3A14027460011

That's still a lot compared to a 2TB HDD. And Eurogamer did tests on SSD's, not really worth it, unless it's for games like Bloodborne with massive load times.

@Alex840 They tested on a PS4 which is sort of sata II which caused bottleneck if you used a SSD.

@ib0show ahh ok, my bad

The problem about SSD on the PS4 was not the fact that the hard drive is connected with an USB 2.0 instead of SATA?
On top of that, it seems that despite the actual hardware using a SATA interface, the PS4 itself appears to communicate with the hard drive via USB - a curious state of affairs.
I'd love to become even more poor by putting a SSD in my PRO, but I will wait for feedbacks first :D
