I was watching late show politics when I heard something that made me double-take...
-
(give it until about 6:40)
Anyway, ignore the politics and morals for a minute — I just wanted to share this with people who will get the joke.
-
Well who wouldn't want to appear like Don!!!
-
Don is beyond them.
-
So, you're him, huh?
Some kindaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Don Casanova?
-
Damn, beat me to it! I wonder how Don felt when his name was dropped there.
-
As a non-American I have to ask: is there some other (famous) Don Casanova in the U.S., or how on earth is he talking about "our" Don?
...ooor I just don't get the joke, like mentioned in the OP, that I re-read just now.
-
@Sentinel-Beach Nope. Google it and the first result you'll get is the man. Carson just started to say what I assume was "Donald" before saying casanova, as in a lady killer.
Then Meyers picked up the resulting verbiage and ran with it.
