NX (NOW NINTENDO SWITCH) REVEALED TODAY
-
@TokyoSlim
Doesn't seem all that goofy to me. Granted we dont know any of the alternative choices for names they had.
But Switch seems pretty elegant
-
Looks really cool! Honestly, the guy playing games on the plane was the biggest selling point for me haha. I haven't bought a handheld since the DS so this might be something I'd pick up, depending on game releases.
-
Discount Xbone controller confirmed.

@Art
The second tinier D-Pad reminds me of something

-
@DMCMaster Elegant "for Nintendo" maybe.
-
-
Lol @ people hating right now,clearly just hating for the sake of it,just makes you look silly. Never seen more forced hate in a while.

Each company that reveals a new console or handheld puts out of one these.
Hell, the PSVita had one of these showing off all its supporters.

I hope you guys have tiny hands.
My thumb is as big as that....I'm screwed.
But yeah, I'm not hating the system yet. I'm just not convinced I need it yet. I wanna see a performance comparison for BOTW between Wii-U and ....the NS?
-
Nobody hating on it here that I see.
We don't know enough about it to hate it yet.
-
@TokyoSlim I think he's referring to me joking about the controllers.
-
@Art that seems like a legitimate concern though, as well as my concern about losing/breaking something that snaps into the side of a portable device I'm gonna shove in my pocket or bag.
-
At least it's not called sWiitch. Kinda pumped, looks not bad!
-
Powered by Tegra I assume?
-
-
The real question now is, what happens to the 3DS?

They won't admit anything yet, the N3DS hasn't been out very long, games are still releasing stateside for it over the next year.
I imagine they'll wait till the switch launches and see how sales measure up before anything happens.

@Art
I think it might depend on if this has any kind of backwards compatibility. I know it wont be able to play Wii U disc, but the cartridge looked just a little bigger then a 3DS cart

Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshot.

So no straight up backwards compatibility is a bummer, but it seems pretty cool to me, the fact that they showed a few Wii U games, makes me hopeful that they'll be porting a lot of the Wii U game
