Fiasconauts - Official Discussion Thread

Nah I kinda disagree. I mean the set up IS the game. You can jump in and start watching at Act 1 but you'd miss the relationships, objects, desires, or locations; context in general.
What would be awesome is if they had some sort of lower thirds detailing the relationships so you can reference it at all times.
Anyways, I'm happy Ian made a how-to because I haven't played the game yet myself but I want to over the holiday.

Again a great episode with some space seriousness and intensity! The vibe was totally (well, not totally, but you know, a lot) different than last time, which was cool to notice. Jason was a really good guest, he was right in there shaping the story in neat ways.
Also: Kobaba! :)

@Sentinel-Beach Honestly, this is my favorite Fiasco they've ever done, including the one with the legendary Rusty Barns. Everyone had great roles, extremely memorable NPCs, some running gags that consistently stayed funny, a guest that meshed well with the group, and just an overall great vibe to it. This will definitely be my go-to episode when I want to show people this show/game.

Even better than Regina's Wedding? I wanna show my roommate an episode because he's gonna play with me over the winter break.
-
@GoTaco Personally, I think so, but I'm a big lover of sci-fi, so I might be biased.
-
@SabotageTheTruth Do you happen to recall what one had Rusty Barns? I've only been watching EasyAllies for about 2 months, and I'm assuming that episode is from the GT days

@Doctor-Professor And there are six of those GT Fiascos, in case you go search for more.
-
Some of the GT ones felt a bit rushed and some felt more relaxed. I like the way everything runs on EZA more. I get less "work-vibes" from them when they do Tabletop games.
-
@GoTaco
That's the benefit of not cramming the shoot of the episodes in a lunch break I guess. :)
-
I finally got around to watching this week's episode! Holy God, that was amazing. In a way I wish they didn't do some of the epilogue stuff, since the original ending was near perfect, but they were all still super funny so I'm not complaining. Jason was incredible throughout. I hope they can get Elyse on as a special guest sometime!

@Olf_Himself
Was that actually what they did? Crammed the Fiasco episodes in during lunch?
-
@GoTaco
I don't know if that was the case for Fiasco actually but I do know that they usually shot Tabletop Adventures during lunch and the GT Fiasco episodes were often TTA replacements.

I feel like every Fiasco is my new favorite, Fiasco at the Zoo included. The setup seemed like it might be a bit shaky, but when they got going....damn. I was not expecting it to go like this, lol.
-
@Minamik
Regina's Wedding is probably still my favorite of the EZA Fiascos but this one was very good too.
-
@Olf_Himself Putting speakers in that cake because of his dj dreams was hilarious.
-
Regina's Wedding was also my favourite. May watch this new one tonight.
The prom at the zoo story line in a GT episode of Fiasco was very funny too. Ian's character was such a bitch, Kyle's was such a perfect dork, and Elysee had the perfect archetype "geek-at-heart" character. People who only know Fiasconauts should go back and check that one out.
-
GT Fiascos and Fiasconauts have all been great but I gotta say a personal favorite is probably Camp Death.
-
The White Hole episode is still my favorite of all time but... Troop making animal noises was pretty great.
