Max Payne is now the closest I've ever gotten to having a nominated game in the finals.
It's the game that, as far as I know, coined the term "bullet time" for slow motion effects. Also, I always enjoyed how damage was displayed in the game. The cut scenes are presented graphic novel style, and the voice over narration is great.

Final should have been between Doom and RTCW. not wolf 3d. RTCW is better in every way.

Wolfenstein 3D is a classic I played as kid, but I feel like it didn't age as well as Doom. The new Doom on the other hand is great, one of the very few modern day FPSs I have bought and enjoyed, I even like it better than Halo 5, which to me was a disappointment.
So yeah my vote goes to Doom 2016.
