New "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Trailer

@ZyloWolfBane Turians are my favorite species. Krogan a very close second.
Mass Effect 3 ending really pissed me off.
That being said, the premise of Andromeda and us being the ones invading the galaxy is a really promising story.

@GoTaco said in New "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Trailer:
My criticism of ME2 was that it was essentially a "gather the gang" plot
ME2 was basically your typical jrpg.
Which is hilarious because a Bioware dev said that jrpgs aren't rpgs.
Really? It's funny how so many talented people say inflammatory things in the media. Not to say they aren't entitled to their opinion, but obviously people are gonna feel some type of way when a major developer says "JRPGs aren't RPGs".
What do you mean about ME2 being a typical JRPG plot? I think it's more Hollywood than anything.
@GoTaco I wish that would be the worst thing they said.

I have no idea about this. Wanna share?

I should mention before I say anything that I do not like Bioware as a developer and I'm biased, but I've seriously tried to like them. Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, tried them all, disliked them all for various reasons. What I find really funny about the quotes in this article is the complaint against JRPGs is the lack of choice and that if it presents you with a decision, you end up really only having one option. Valid criticism yet... isn't that the result of Mass Effect 3 and the series as a whole? I haven't (and won't ever) play or complete Mass Effect 3 so cue corrections music if I'm wrong, but didn't everyone have relatively the same ending, despite tons of different choices throughout all three games? Assuming that's true, that could potentially mean that a) the development team was just saying something "controversial" to drum up press for a game they had launching, b) they forgot their own design philosophies while creating Mass Effect 3, or c) they're hypocrites. I had no idea they had made those comments so thanks for bringing that to light, @Art.
@SabotageTheTruth What did I bring to light?

In an Instagram comment thread that talks about Andromeda's role in tonight's Game Awards, the Mass Effect Instagram responded to a comment about hype.
It says: "You can't spell Hyperion without Hype"
I am officially hyped for tonight.
