To me, this game doesn't hold up with the PSX version... It's a unfair comparison, yes, but life's not fair...

My introduction to the series and a great game, more recent entries are much more refined. This isn't the best in the franchise so I'm taking it out.

Already as child I thought this is a bad game, I never enjoyed it, it's slow, it's clunky, it's by far the worts 2D Metroid game.

Weaker than the first two Mother games. It strains itself for emotional response and I can't help but see its desperation as a turn-off. Its spin away from child-centered storytelling towards ensemble melodrama and technology-focused moral tale (neither of which it presents in a thoughtful way) puts the entire game at odds with itself.
