@Stephleref its miles better then 13 its probally imo the best since 9

I highly disagree,i don't see what's miles better about it.

it has a likeable cast of characters with actual character development and the writing is much better for a start.

there's next to no lines as cringeworthy as "Do you dream of death?" and no jargon salad like the fal'cie l'cie cieth failed their focus

  • There are assuredly lines in 15 as cringe-worthy as "Do you dream of death?"

Seriously, take a lens of feminist criticism to this game — It's quite clear.

And not for nothing, "It's picture time!"

@Haru17 Give us all the cringiest lines you've heard in XV.

  • I really don't think you wanna defend the cringe of all things when it comes to Final Fantasy XV. It feels like Sweary was involved in this game sometimes tbh.

I haven't seen any character development in this game yet 4 hours in. XIII has character development too,Hope's mom get killed and he blames Snow for it and wants to murder him for a good portion of the game and learns to forgive him. All Ignis has done is not shut the fuck up when i want to use my car at night, because apparently there are dangerous enemies outside. You mean that lv30 Iron Giant i killed easily? Again i'm level 5. Prompto takes picture because apparently "photograph" is his job class. Other Job classes include fishing and cooking,is this Runescape or Final Fantasy? wtf?

  • FFXV even says as you boot it up "It's for fans & new comers". I'm gonna tell you YES. I am a fan of FF but not a super hardcore fan. I am really digging it. I at around 20 hours in, level 23 characters. I'm loving it so much I set my alarm for 4am-5am so I can get in a good 4-5 hours before I have to goto work. I would wait til after work, but I put 6-8 miles on my feet during my work day so I'm simply too tired to play after work.

So "YES", definitely play it. If you're apprehensive, GameFly is a wonderful service. I've been with them since 2007. At least you could give it a try by renting it. Then choose to buy after some gameplay.

  • @Art Okay, I found ThE wOrSt OnE1!

"I do not seek to guide him, merely to stand beside him." What does that even mean. It reads like a historical fiction fetish novel.

  • Because FFXV is not fiction.

    Sounds like a good friend.

  • Thanks for the responses everyone! After listening to Frame Trap and listening to what they liked and disliked about the game, I think I'm going to give it a shot. I've been wanting to try a FF game for a long while and really want a big open world game to sink my teeth into. I live in the UK and we don't really have good game rental services here, and I don't have a friend who has it so unless I wait for a sale, I think I'm just going to have to take a chance! I also haven't had my PS4 for that long so this will be the first game I've played that didn't come out more than six months ago. I asked my parents for it for Christmas so I'll letcha know in the new year what I think of it. :) Thanks again allies!

  • @Musou-Tensei @Art No, you guys, it's unabashed waif-porn. Any writer can tell you that.

FFXV is not in total, but that quote certainly is.

    major spoilers here but
    it means

Luna neither wanted to pressure Noctis into giving his life, nor try to talk him out of it

    absolutely nothing cringe about it
