I love the Zelda: Link to the Past soundtrack. So many fond memories of when I played it as a kid. When the game starts up, the sound the Triforce pieces make before the combine and the song that just starts blasting through the TV speakers when they finally do. Epic! Just epic! That game and it's soundtrack just blew my mind back then.
And I can still listen to the Mass Effect soundtracks over and over. The Love Theme from the first game is awesome, and the final tracks from the second one are simply amazing, and almost everything from the third is totally worth checking out. Great soundtracks.

@Nillend Thanks, same to you ... except for the Prince of Persia ones I loved all the rest.

Ōkami: Beautiful music for a beautiful game and VERY Japanese: The Sun Rises, Kamiki Festival, Reset (Thank You)
Undertale: Lots of clever use of leitmotifs and some of the best boss music around: Megalovania, Hopes And Dreams (Intro) & Save The World Extended, Death by Glamour
Terranigma: A really underrated action RPG for the SNES, which was released in Europe, but for some reason never the US. Underworld, Overworld, Willful Lion
Ni No Kuni: Joe Hisaishi is apparently also composing for the sequel! HYPE! Field, The First Dawn, Main Theme

I love the Final Fantasy OSTs. In my opinion the series has always excelled at its music and has some of the most iconic, awesome and inspiring tunes I have ever heard. I can listen to them for hours, days, months, years without getting bored even once.
A special mention goes to Legacy of Kain. Ozar Midrashim is one of the greatest tracks ever created.

The golden trinity of my favourite OST's:
- Persona 3: it's like persona 4's OST but better in every way.
I'm kidding of course. I adore the P4-soundtrack for the variaty of songs (reach out to the truth, heartbeat, heaven, pursuing my true self, ...), but P3 (FES) blows it out of the water for me. Deep breath, deep breath is so incredibly weird, funky and gets me pumped almost every time. Burn my dread(the complete version) is such a wonderful mix of rock and r&b. Memories of you is the most emotional song I've ever heard in a videogame. The wonderful melody, the describing of your long adventure, the expression of sorow and grief...
- Bloodborne
It's dark AF, has an epic choir doing the vocals and the boss-songs all give you this wonderful feeling of dread and escalation. A great example being "Maria of the astral clocktower" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rdt5XNvPkc
- Dragon Quest (all of it)
I could pick one game that simply has the largest amount of awesome songs.(DQV), but the single album that get's my vote is....
Dragon Quest String quartet. An album dedicated to the greatest hits throughout the main series all brilliantly played by a string quartet. It also has my favourite version of the beloved Overture march.
Have a listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4-TjPD3pH8

Mario RPG hit all the right notes, MegamanX is just perfect, Zelda OoT and MM are a must but maybe just maybe my all time favorite is the OST of Hook the videogame adaptation of the movie. I think its my favorite cause Childhood nostalgia still it is great, yet it is a huge shame it is so unknown
