Reference from Huber's recent Umbrella Corps stream, and, no, it's not actually my favourite.

Entirety of Turrican II soundtrack is pure gold if you ask me. But I do love Elder Scrolls III-V soundtracks, Final Fantasy 6-10 and 12 soundtracks, Metal Gear Solid 1-4 + Revengeance soundtracks and I have very fond memories of Tekken 6 - Hidden Retreat xD

And then there's Zelda, Blood Dragon and so much more ...

I don't really have any favorite soundtracks, there's just too much good stuff out there.
However instead of listing a bunch of great ones everyone has already heard of, I thought I'd link to some lesser known ones (broth) that are still great.
Policenauts (Only got a fan translation years after release as is one of Kojima's lesser known games. Both the game and music is great)
End of the Dark
The Darkness (PS3 exclusive that is only avaliable physically means it might be expensive to get a hold of a copy now, but your mind and ears will thank you for it)
The Darkness Theme
Massacre On The Lighthouse
Ace Combat X & X2 (Being on PSP means not many played them, but it's Ace Combat so you know the music is good)
Ace Combat X - "Prelude Joint Operation"
Ace Combat X - Fenrir Chase
Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault - In the Zone
Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault - Sound Embrace
Awesomenauts (Underappriciated more casual MOBA that plays like a 2D platformer with the style of a saturday morning cartoon where every single character has their own theme, entire soundtrack is awesome)
Nibbs (Gummi Bears inspired)
That's all for now, might post more some other day. I'll also look over the thread for what others have uploaded later as well.

My all-time favorite has to be Secret of Mana.
A close n°2 would be Super Metroid. So atmospheric.

Oh! I have thousands! I've played lots of games just because of their amazing OSTs!
From the top of my head:
C&C Red Alert 2
And I could go on forever and ever. Music is the most important thing in a videogame for me.

Only one mention of Chrono Cross in here. SHAMEFUL. Other top level OSTs are Nier, Gravity Rush, Ghost Trick, and SMTIV

But for real, I'm obsessed with Castlevania, the music is great in all of them but I'll go with the original
