@TokyoSlim that's not what i'm saying though, the quality is only questioned because its on the switch. if it was any other AAA game you wouldn't even consider the opposite until it was released

Nobody can have an informed opinion on the full game yet. That's what you seem to be missing. :)
You can be excited, but there's a difference between being excited and pre-forming an opinion based on hype.

@Bigdude1 Yes, you can have opinions before release. But they are not informed opinions. There is a difference between those two.

@Bigdude1 The game was in development for ten years, announced dead, announced alive, and delayed. You honestly think nobody doubted it? The difference between those threads and this one was that nobody was seriously trying to convince me that it was going to be amazing.
The last guardian was a 10 year long joke.

@jipostus it absolutely can be informed. games have been demoed, you can use your eyes and see what they are going for, it's like surveying a game using smaller samples. given its not a full picture, but to say it's ignorant with no empirical evidence is just insulting

@TokyoSlim i don't really expect you to look it up, i was more insulted that i bought a ps3 to play the waiting game for those 2 games that never came out for the system i bought them for ( not solely for them but still)
i'm just saying it feels disproportionate.

@Bigdude1 You have repeatedly stated that BOTW is 100% going to be a great game with no possible criticisms. That's an opinion, but it's not one that can be based on any current evidence.

Remember No Mans Sky, MGS5, Watch Dogs 1, Spore, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect 3, SimCity, FF14 (initial release), Mighty Nr 9, Duke Nukem Forever, Destiny and much much more?
As I said before, scepticism is healthy and there are no guarantees.
Not saying people can't be super excited, but getting annoyed that other people are sceptical (and even going so far as to think this is them shitting on said game) is on the other hand not healthy.

You literally stated that the game is factually going to be great because there is no possible reason it could be bad. If it's not perfect, that means there are things that are not perfect. Which means that there are reasons it could be bad.
