Easy Allies in Concert Meet up [Discussion]

@tokeeffe9 They also thought they'd get like $5k when they launched the Patreon.
-
@Joetown I'm not going to lie. This has crossed my mind more than once.
Still I believe in Jones.
-
They also had many more fans turn up to the PSX Meet and Greet than they'd anticipated. I trust them, I just think they underestimate their own popularity sometimes!
I met up with the other people in my travel group today and we planned out where we hope to go each of the days we'll be in LA... it's starting to hit me that I'll be in LA in a month!
-
I'll be flying into Burbank around 5pm on the 20th. Know my way around most of the major metro LA area, and though I'm staying and working in the Valley, I'll be mobile.
Would be down to meet up for dinner or what have you Monday night.

Brandon has posted some new information over on Patreon.
Patreon - Easy Allies in Concert information
I'll update the OP later regarding the new info.

I'm so excited for this!
Now to start looking for good hotel prices around the theatre and book the flight. I cannot wait!
Who here is going? Anyone know any great food spots to check out?
-
@GranArcanum well in regards to food, there's a bunch of places nearby. "GREATNESS" may be determined by your budget and personal taste though.
Lots of tourist trap style places in Hollywood, but even those seem to satisfy many people. :)
-
OP updated now with the most important information.

Nearby food of the cheap/fast variety:
There's a Popeyes Chicken next door.
Smoke's Poutinery. For our friends visiting from the great white North.
Umami Burger isn't too bad.
Calle Tacos It's an indoor taco truck , I'd maybe try to hit Trejos first.
Trejos Cantina Danny Trejo's (Yes, Machete) second taco joint. They have good vegetarian options too, if you're into that. More expensive than normal street tacos, but they're pretty good.
Ball and Chain is a gastropub that specializes in burgers and meatballs.
I think Yakipan is across the street. They don't have a website, but it's asian fusion noodle bowls. It's alright. There's an In N Out down the street, but it's like 7 blocks or something. Probably worth the walk if you've never had a double double before. Be forewarned out of towners - the fries are lukewarm garbage.
I generally get them "animal style" or you're just eating bland, spongey potatoes. Animal style adds mustard onions, cheese, and thousand island. If that sounds gross to you - probably skip the fries :)

@GranArcanum You might want to look into Air BnB for a place to stay, that's what me and my group decided to use! Some of the cheaper ones are just a room in someone's house/apartment, and cost can vary depending on where in the city you want to stay, but at least it gives you some other options aside from hotels. If you use that link you'll get $40 off too. :)
-
@logic__error Yeah, that looks like it's what I'm going to end up doing :)

On the Blood Pact stream (3:06:55) yesterday, Brandon mentioned tickets will go on sale on Tuesday.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/124760078
Again, we should get a CoJs about it before that time.

Reposting this from the official announcement thread:
Got my tickets already.
The only thing I'm wondering about is the fine print on the ticket confirmation:I'm ok if that's actually the case, but I think people need to know if it is or not, considering that an additional $30 minimum check isn't referenced anywhere else.
-
@TokyoSlim I don't even really understand what that is referencing to. Is that saying you have to buy (or have) two items and if you don't, you'll be charged $30 and either way you're charged at least $15?
Is there more to it than just the image?
-
OP updated with the announcement and ticket sales info! You can buy them NOW in case you missed it!
-
@TokyoSlim @tokeeffe9 Yeah, I think Brandon vaguely mentioned it when they announced the venue that there IS a food/drink minimum, it is something they should have mentioned again with the official ticket announcement. You should only be charged if you don't meet the minimums, so if you buy 1 food/drink item then they will charge $15 for the missing second item, if you don't buy anything they will charge $30 total.
-
Is anyone in Arizona that would want to carpool out there? The venue is about 6 hours away from where I'm at.

That's the only mention of it on the confirmation. It looks to me as if you have to buy two items, or get charged a $15 service fee for each of the two items you don't purchase. So in example, if you buy nothing, you pay $30. If you buy one drink, you pay for the drink, plus $15. If you buy two drinks, you just pay for the drinks.
Something to consider for folks planning on getting dinner or drinks beforehand.

Ya, that's what it seems like. We'll get clarification on it soon I imagine.
