Bens Nioh Review
-
How many times will we see the word Souls or Bloodborne. My guess 3.
-
I'm gonna say none.
Foolish, I know.
-
Do we know if EZA got a review copy? I was pretty shocked to see IGN post a Review in Progress so early.
-
The embargo lifted yesterday and Ben does have a copy.
-
Its five stars. I'm calling it. My pre-order is dispatched some how so I am expecting to get it 2 days early.
-
I'm gonna say 1. Also 4.5 stars.
-
My guess is 2, and I expect 5 stars.
-
I think he'll say Souls just 1 time to address the comparisons to the series, though he will try to avoid the comparisons himself.
Based on just the last chance demo, I think it'll be a 4.5 star game. I keep hearing complaints about a lack of diversity in the environments so I think that will keep it from 5 if its true
-
He's just going to have Jones scream "SOUUUUULLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!" At random times during the review.
-
I think he already knows about the joke. He's not gonna say it. Or maybe he'll say it in some easter egg fashion haha
-
He'll say it without technically saying it. "The game's setting is so hauntingly beautiful that it can be felt deep within our Souls."
-
I think just one time and it'll be along the lines of "Although many have compared it to the souls series Nioh a very different game with its own style"
-
White man in Japan washed up on the shoals,
take Katana in your hand this is how we roll.
Oni standing in the way between me and my goals,
Ki Pulsing every day, Amrita is my "souls".
-
I thought this game is too hard to be reviewed? At least that what Polygon said.
-
We all know Blood's face will contort into different shapes in the space of a few seconds if Ben gives this 5 stars.
-

Oh is this myth still running? I've yet to deny a 5 star or a 10/10.
-
@Bloodworth You may think so, but we know you're COLD BLOODED!
-
@Bloodworth Much of the lore from GT still lives on. Much like Soul Calibur: "The legend will never die."
-
1 use of Souls in the introduction, and a reference to "games it borrows from" near the end of the review without explicitly saying Souls. 4.5 stars.
