Cool Cover Art Appreciation
-
Asteroids (recommended by a friend)
Out of This World/Another World (the good cover, not the SNES one)
Shadowrun (Super Famicom)
-
@Mechanoid That Shadowrun cover alone makes me want to play that game
-
I personally love, LOVE hand drawn cover art.
Persona 4: already mentioned so I'm going to post the ones not mentioned yet.

@V8Dave It looked so good I thought they just took the cover from the RPG. But I think it's original for the box art. Shame I can't find a larger version.

Alone in the Dark 1 & 2
yeah..okay, 3 is cool as well
ahhhh...thes covers were my crack-cocaine when i was a kid...damn they still are! so inspiring!
Also, the cover for DOOM 2 is highly superior to DOOM's
Alos, also: Heroquest! while not a video-game, it's probably the best cover for anything ever...and it is a game, so...
hmmm, it's almost like there's a through-line there with my picks...I confess: I like (well) painted cover art!

@Luepp25 I don't know what that roaring cougar is doing in the sky in Alone in the Dark 3, but I dig it

I like the juxtaposition of the West's image of punk/cyberpunk vs Japan's in these two editions of Shadowrun. Blue Sky did the one on Genesis and Compile did the one for Sega CD.
-
@dafoomie That JP cover is so 90's anime it hurts lol. I've never seen the mega-cd version of this game, looks pretty cool.
-
So many great ones. It's hard to pick.
-
@RomanGamepire That remaster cover of Okami is definitely better than the original. The composition is nicer, its more vibrant, and better captures the spirit of the game better too. WAY better than the watermarked disaster of the Wii version lol
-
@Mechanoid My thoughts exactly thanks
