I don't think I want to re-buy the game unless its on Switch but this looks dope.
-
So is it confirmed a totally new game? Like I can't just buy the upgrade?
I bought P5 a few weeks before this was announced and have decided to wait, but might just go ahead and play it if this is a new version, and play the new shit in a few years or whatever.I saw two prices at the end of the JP trailer. Can anybody who speaks moon runes confirm that one is for the DLC and the other for standalone?
-
@el-shmiablo
8,000 Yen is typically around the price of most new games (about $80)
While the second one is probably for some special edition as its about $110
-
@el-shmiablo Regular and Collector's Edition, can't read moon either, but saw an article that mentioned it
-
Well shit. I really hope they announce it as an upgrade to the core game as well.
-
I think they specifically said it wasn't
-
@el-shmiablo Everyone does, but that's not how Atlus rolls. Expect to be forced to pay full price all over again and rebuy all your DLC outfits. If you're lucky you'll get some bonus for owning the original in Royal or the option to transfer save data over but probably not.
-
@mbun It just seems so backwards these days.
This isn't last gen where Capcom can get away with saying "Sorry changes are too big gotta release a whole new game 50 bux bruh pay up.".
-
@el-shmiablo They can get away with it, so they'll keep doing it. Least Royal looks beefy enough to semijustify it.
-
I mean, it is basically a remake.
-
For as much as I lovr Atlus hoping this would be just an upgrade pack would be a futile hope, that is not how they work, and I can agree that it ia not the most consumer friendly.
To be the devils advocate here, when they do this updated versions they are substantial and diffrent enough to justify a new release.
