Streaming & recording quality

  • Quick tip EZA, when you're recording game footage with an Elgato make sure the HDMI color range(which is under the settings cog) is set to expanded if your console is set to full RGB. If your console is set to limited than set it the Elgato to limited. This will give your video the correct RGB values. When these settings are set incorrectly you will get a washed out image. The darkest shades appear gray instead of black and the brightest shades appear silver instead of white. The most recent examples would be Brandons playthrough of Final Fantasy VI and Kyles stream of Snake Pass. You also need to have the Elgato software up the whole time while you're recording and streaming for it to stay at the correct settings.
