Why is Bethesdas conference starting so late?
-
There's no reason a conference hosted in California should be airing at 11PM central time on a sunday. Do they not want people to watch there conference and get hyped for the new games?
-
Last year they had Blink 182 playing at the after party. My bet is that they booked something big and they need more prep time
-
Great, I know how much industry people love musical acts! That's a great reason to make everyone else stay up late.
Now that you mention this I think I remember Alex from giant bomb saying something similar.
-
@lifetimeofnot I know it's super inconvenient, but they probably already invested to the point on no return :(
-
Just go to sleep and watch the EZA vod before/after Sony's conference on Monday.
-
@Haru17 Not really an option when work gets in the way of life. I've got to work monday morning and by the time I get home my options are basically either try to catch up on Bethesda, Ubisoft, the PC show or Devolver's before Sony, or just say "screw it" and leave them all behind. I've got more free time than I have in years for E3 and even then I'm still gonna have to leave everything but the big three in the dust.
-
@DeweyDTruman Well, you have literally the entire rest of your life to watch it after it airs, haha. I'm just saying vods aren't bad, especially EZA reaction ones.
-
Yeah it does seem a bit later than usual, I'll be watching it at 5AM Monday here in the UK, and will probably have to stay up until 6-6:30am to see the conclusion :'(
I mean it's E3 so of course I'll stay up, but even so it's a little more inconvenient than it needed to be.
-
I luve in europe, Sony is at 3am, Bethesda at 6am.
-
Yeah I think they want to try different times and see what audience they get! I will personally get up early so I can watch it before I go to work!

Brazil here, Bethesda starts at 1AM :/
-
Bethesda is literally the only press conference that I might have been able to watch at a reasonable hour here in Japan if I didn't have work. Time zones blow but it's just part of life.
-
It's nice for us Europeans tbh. We can actually get a decent nap in and get up early in the morning, instead of staying up all night!
-
Perhaps it was the cheapest time slot. And Bethesda is certainly a penny pitching developer at times. Despite their financial success.
-
I see where you're coming from, but for me it's actually pretty cool, I can catch it live right before I have to go to work..
-
Isn't their official reason something about it being the most accessible time slot ( for everyone on the western hemisphere anyway )
-
@alanpk I'd prefer that tbh.
