Online D&D Session
-
make a google doc and then everyone signs up!
-
Never played but I'm in.
-
How would people like to play?
Once every week, or once every month? Or something else?
-
@Ehie-Yovach I'm on it
-
@UltimateBrent I think Ben hosted the patron sessions over Google hangout. I imagine any voice/video chatting program would suffice for communication during the session. The website has a community section where you can find/form groups to play with.
-
@Dirokia Cool, I was just wondering if there was some kind of asynchronous way to do it.
-
You can also useTabletop Simulator on steam. I have a discord group that uses it
-
Here is spreadsheet, so you can sign up and we can coordinate and get into groups. Pls follow the instructions. If you have any questions, please ask, so we can play together soon :D

So as we are getting the schedule and groups organized, how do the noobs want to create characters? Are you guys cool reading the books , filling out character sheets and making backgrounds yourselves? I wouldn't mind guiding people through the character creation process, it can get overwhelming at times and I'd rather answer any questions before the actual game starts. It's a real slog when the first few sessions are just question after question about the rules.

Is there a way to observe the session if we don't participate?
-
I will try to create the character, but if I'll have any question I will ask you before we actually determine when the sessions will start.
-
I'm so in! :D
I can do anytime during the weekend. I've filled in the google drive spreadsheet.
Just announcing that.
-
@lotsofotherstuff Good job :D
-
I was just thinking about this. I'd be down!
-
I wasn't going to record my sessions but I don't have a problem with you joining in and just listening.
-
I'd be interested in playing or DMing D&D. Currently DMing a COS campaign on Fridays and a Traveler game every other Saturday. But I could run or play something after work Tues-Thurs or Sunday around Noon. I think I filled in my availability on the spreadsheet correctly.
What edition are you guys thinking for D&D? I'm partial to 5e myself.
-
Cool idea man!
-
There's a spreadsheet, if you want to mark when you are available, so we can form groups
