I like laying around with my dog and meditating.

@kirkking2000 Love me some piano only themes as well. : ) You should record yourself playing and post it on Youtube! I search for random people playing game themes on Youtube sometimes, haha.
-
@Holundrian Music certainly powerful. It can't be underestimated! Thank you! : )
-
@Ringedwithtile I do the same thing with my cat, haha. Just pet him and think.

I write, and I read. And I read about writing, and write about....well, nonsense.
I enjoy most media, but I'm trying to cut down because it cuts down on my writing. Not enough hours in the day, and all that.
-
@eschatological There was a time that I wanted to be a writer, but that kinda faded away after my first year of college. I do sometimes write for the heck of it, though!
Thanks for sharing! : )

@sam776 I've always enjoyed writing as a hobby (mostly poetry because I have the time for it and a poem can come to me in an hour)....but I ended up taking the good immigrant son route, and became a lawyer. ;)
-
@sam776 maybe someday, but for now nerves kill me lol. I don't know why, but playing for someone else the first time , I go super "derr how does play' amounts of anxiety haha.
-
@sam776 At some point it changes from something you have to concentrate to do, to something you can do while playing a game or having a conversation. It helps immensely.
-
@kirkking2000 Haha, I feel ya, man. I've been live streaming games for about 4 years now, but there are times when I still tense up. Once you get over the initial hump though, it's all downhill. ;)
Be sure to make a post about it and send it to me when you do someday! ^_^

@Stormcrownn I can't wait for that day, haha.

Martial Arts.
Nothing like punching someone in the face followed by some peaceful meditation
-
@TheHashtag0nist I've always wanted to get into Martial Arts, but I feel completely lost as to what to pursue. I'm 24, so I probably could...
-
@Stormcrownn I started trying this in my spare time. I've tried (and failed) meditation before but this is much easier to practice and I'm already noticing results.
-
@SabotageTheTruth That was my initial problem with meditation. I simply think too much, when my counselor had me use that energy to just process things around me, the whole concept immediately clicked.
-
@Stormcrownn I would recommend any martial arts as long as you can find a good place to train.
The main thing you need to be aware of os the so called "Mc Dojangs" where the main objective of the instructors is to pump out as many black belts as fast as they can.
Belts don't mean anything if you are not significantly improving on a physical and personal level in between them.
If you are looking for the more traditional sports with a bit of philosophy behind them, try the usual ones like Karate and Taekwon-do.
MMA popularized a lot of arts and people often "rank" them to effectiveness, but that should never be part of your decision unless you are planning to fight professionally.
Find something that works for you and an instructor that knows how to make sure you get the most out of yourself.
Anyway, i am ranting

Reading comics when not in a gaming mode

Just close my eyes, dive into my 'mental sanctuary' (so to speak), and just enjoy either quiet or the sounds of nature.
