That's News!

@musou-tensei
Activision went from one of my least favourites last gen to slowly growing on me. I'm so so so happy about this. Tom Kenny was the best Spyro and some random replacement wouldn't have done it.
-
SGDQ Games List is up. Looks like a pretty fun list. I'll be looking forward to pretty much all the Mario runs, Catherine, Deus Ex, Cuphead and many more I'm sure.
From the few times I've watched in the past, it's always a good time.

Is Medievil and Dreams the last 2 Sony First Party games left to announce a 2018 date.
-
@ib0show We don't know who's developing Medievil yet so not sure if it's first party.
Don't think we got a release date for Blood & Truth either if we're talking just about games that have been previously announced.
-
I forgot we don't know who the dev on MediEval is yet. That's kinda nuts for a game coming out this year.
Therefore my deduction is.... it's FromSoft
-
still hoping for a Nintendo Switch version of Spyro so i can take it anywhere but otherwise having it available on Xbox is still fantastic. will just buy an Xbox One copy if it doesn't come to Switch.
just means i don't have to spend money on PS4 in order to play it.
-
Maybe I'll play Spyro finally!
...
Probably not... still haven't played Crash.
Looks good though.
-
i can see activision doing microtransactions for this game lol.
"You can finish Spyro the Dragon with 120% completion rate sure!
for.... a small fee."
-
Direct feed of Wolf 2 on Switch.

@dmcmaster Ouch. That framerate and lighting. Still impressive they could get it to run at all though.
-
@musou-tensei well like i said. if it doesn't come to Switch then oh well. can still just buy it on my xbone.
-
@el-shmiablo
Seems fine to me all things considered. Although that's docked gameplay, portable I don't think has been shown yet.

Instead of making improvements towards their game, they'd rather target small mobile games that probably aren't hurting their business at all... and make outrageous frying pan claims. Yet Epic has enough foresight to go all in on Fortnite, cancel Paragon, refund everyone, and just generally be a good developer. Crazy to see how differently these two developers are approaching things but it does make me happy to see the "right" path be more successful.
-
@dmcmaster Maybe it is just because I am sensitive to framerates, but it looked like it ran in slow motion for some sections with those dips.
I'm an outlier though, as I think Doom on Switch was a really bad port. Motion controls are neat and all, but I personally prefer playing the game with more than twice the resolution/framerate and on settings above customs that are literally lower than the lowest settings available on PC, and not having to have modes cut.

@sabotagethetruth Wow that’s embarrassing... This is the way things are, if you do something that becomes hugely popular then obviously others want to eat from that cookie as well, happens in all industries. Just man up and keep improving the game so it’s always the best and the clones are just bad clones. Suing is such a low blow. And they likely won’t win that case either, and if they do they’ll just damage their reputation. It’s a lose-lose scenario.
-
PUBG Corp going to sue Nintendo because Princess Peach uses a frying pan in Super Mario RPG?
-
I've been hitting people with frying pans for years in L4D and TF2.
-
@rock I'd lawyer up if I were you.
