Playstation 5 releases Holiday 2020
Blog post talks about Haptic Feedback controllers replacing Rumble and adjustable resistance triggers.

Copying Nintendo again I see. Least they didn't carry through the dumb HD Rumble name. Hopefully PS5's controller build is better than the Steam ones that make it extremely loud when it rumbles or next generation you'll go from having PS4 Jet taking off in your room to a noisy controller in your hands.
Might be dum to say this as we now know a window for PS5, but the newer SKUS of PS4 and Pro are relatively quite, hell I actually swapped my PS4 Pro for a newer model and it's whisper quite, even on stuff that made it sound like a jet engine or straight up caused the system to turnoff due to overheating (allegedly, not sure how 5 minutes of DQ11 caused it to overheat)

@dmcmaster Lots of people say dust over time makes it worse though, so even those newer models might be susceptible to the same thing over time.

It looks like maybe they are taking airflow and cooling more seriously this time, if those leaked mockups and devkit designs are anything to go by. One of the reasons the PS4 is so noisy is because they have one cheap fan, pulling in air from too small an intake, and trying to blow it over all the internals. When that fan gets clogged with dust and unbalanced - or the bearings wear down from extended overuse, the fan gets loud. The designs so far at least look like there's more vents.
My Pro is loud AF on more recent games.
Thinking of going to Walmart and pulling the ol switcheroo for a newer model.

My Pro in Black Ops 4 is like an industrial heater. The game menu chugs and its sooooo loud.
I don't have any speed issues in games but it just gets soooo loud.

I picked up the new Pro model & there's not a peep from it. My old Pro could wake up the dead the noise of it. Well worth it.
Know the feeling, my old Pro was louder then my sound system at times, remember it getting stupid loud during the final cutscene of DMC5, and RDR2 just being a constant noise.
As for dust It wasn't the culprit, I pop open my systems and do what I can to clean them out every 3ish months, either way it's just crazy how loud the og Pro models get.

What a day... DOOM delayed and PS5 coming Holiday 2020 now being officially acknowledged.
@dmcmaster Yeah I also opened mine up to clean. Wasn't even very much dust, and it only helped slightly.

Outer Wilds (not Worlds) coming to Playstation 15 of October. If you're into unusual games I strongly recommend it. Played it on GamePass a few months ago and is one of my top games of the year.

PS5 coming Holiday 2020 now being officially acknowledged.
Which Holiday? And why are Americans allergic to dates?
Holiday refers to the holiday season (November and December)

Honestly I'm impressed at how hard they worked on this considering it's such a blatant ripoff.

Like you said: It looks goood. As someone who quit Cuphead around %66 because of boredom, I can check this out if it ever release.
