From Serebii on the mobile game Pokemon Masters:
DeNA have put out a letter from the producer Satoshi Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi addressing many complaints from fans. They have put forth an apology for the amount of problems the game has had, the small amount of content as they thought the current set-up and EX Challenge would be sufficient, but realise that EX Challenges are not for everyone and that they are sorry they brought the game to a point where there was little to do in it. They detail four different complaints that they commonly saw:
Lack of content
Rewards for stages not being enticing
Level design not being amazing
Game is difficult to understand
With this, they have promised that they are going to change direction with how the game will proceed in the future with more content, more attractive rewards for completing stages and aim to make it so that you can use your favourite Sync Pairs rather than necessarily the strongest for the situation. They will work on this but state it will take time. They'll provide periodic updates through letters, with the next one planned on October 17th.Ever since launch, the game has been dropping off hard on the charts, and I've heard players mention most of the complaints listed above they're addressing now. I've been playing myself too, and the grindfest is really ridiculous. They've been raining premium currency on the players to apologize for how broken core mechanic stuff has been since launch as they've patched it slowly as well.
Weird how the game seemed to really understand everything before launch, but their content update plans turned out to be unstable and the game was riddled with bugs surrounding the mechanics. Cool that they're addressing this stuff, but I've heard before that once a mobile game starts tanking, there's almost never coming back from it. Mobile crowd is fickle and moves on super fast. So I wonder how long Pokemon Masters will stick around given all this.
Edit: Linked letter has been updated to the official English one.

@yoshi Because apparently companies (especially western ones) have some unspoken understanding Holiday equates to U.S. Thanksgiving to Christmas time.
Plus, expecting a specific date for a console launch that's not going to come over a year from now is unnecessary. It also gives the flexibility to not having being married to a day if there isn't a current 100% commitment to said day while simultaneously allows people to see who will twitch first when a competitor announces a date, others plan accordingly.

Demo of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games Tokyo 2020 is out on the Japanese eShop, it's very good (and has the retro mode)

Apparently Ubisoft is making some animated tv shows based on thier games, Blood Dragon being among them

Holy shit this is big news for me. I never heard of Ubisoft Motion Pictures but I almost guarantee they'll outsource animation production to Canadian studios. That would be an awesome "in" into the gaming industry cause I'm in that line of work.
I know of other people producing cinematics for some unannounced games (Asian market) but usually that's a quick contract rather than a full production pipeline. I kinda hope this blows up for Ubisoft.

Probably reaching but Tee Loopes who did music for Sonic Mania did this remix from Sonic Adventure.....Sonic Adventure 1 remake?
Youtube Video
-
@dmcmaster I'd be happy with a Sonic Mania style game that just remasters and remixes the best of 3D Sonic levels.
-
@el-shmiablo that already came out back in 2011
-
@dmcmaster They do remixes all the time, so definitely reaching, but I do hope this happens anyways. I'll take any Adventure Remaster, Remake, or new game I can get. Hell, I'll take Big's Big Fishing Adventure 3 at this point.
-
@mbun
Funny you mentioned Big's since something that John St John is in will be revealed Monday (according to him) granted I doubt it's Sonic related since I think Egoraptor does his voice now.But yeah I'm in the same boat and would kill for a new Adventure game, or something that plays similar at least

So someone found an unlisted Postal 4 trailer
Gonna be in Early Access, so I won't be touching it until a proper release, but I've got hopes. Already looks like it's taking a lot of the right steps compared to 3.
-
@hanabi
Wasn't postal 3 one of the first early access titles?
-
@dmcmaster no clue, kinda doubt it since I'm pretty sure it came out before early access and all I know about the game is its rushed development.
now that I think about it I've got like $30 steambucks so maybe I'll pick it up anyway. Not like I'm gonna spend them on anything else.

@hanabi
Welp it's your dollarydoos, if you get it post some thoughts

Overwatch on Switch is download only, the retail copies will only have a download code
https://www.siliconera.com/2019/10/14/overwatch-nintendo-switch-retail-copies-only-include-a-download-code/
-
@dmcmaster Makes sense. Even if you could own the game base on a cart, it would constantly be getting updated and soon your update size would be larger than the cart size anyways and most of the files on the cart wouldn't even be getting used anymore probably.
-
I will never understand physical copies of games that just come with a download code
