Late to the party but am I wrong in assuming Trump is strong arming American businesses in a trade embargo with China? Seems like this is en route to a slippery slope. Is this even legal?
-
@dipset
I don't entirely know, granted I'm no expert in international trade laws. That said i personally feel that we're probably a few short year's away from seeing some kind of giant trade war with everyone leaving China.Anyway Yoshinori Ono is leaving Capcom after being there for 30 years, does kinda line up with recent rumors he was demoted off of SF6.

@dmcmaster Yeah I saw that :(. Sounds like they might still be for sale.

@iboshow
Just taking a guess but I feel like they won't make a decision till the end of the 2021 fiscal year.

Xbox announced that the release window of the Series X will be in November. Also, Halo Infinite is delayed to 2021.

I'm an outsider of the series, but with all the current context, isn't it safe to say that Halo is close to a train wreck at this point.
-
Well, Halo wasn't looking very good from the pieces they've showed off so far. So I guess this is good for the game. Huge hit to the launch lineup though.
-
Will be interesting to see their next show since we know more projects were already going to be shown off; its hard to imagine greenlighting this move without having something exciting to mitigate the fallout of the console's biggest launch game. Ultimately it sucks, this would've been the first Halo game I actually completely played through but it doesn't dissuade me from what Xbox is doing and I'm still going to get a Series X at launch. 2020 has been quite the nightmare.
-
Not exactly surprising seeing Halo delayed. Like with any game rather having it delayed and be the best it can be.
-
Thank god they delayed Halo. I know people were positive on the recently announced free-to-play model of distribution, but I interpreted that as an unfinished game being launched and updates fixing it throughout time.
Is there interest in a Halo Infinite / Halo tread around here? I've been playing Halo 3 on MCC and wouldn't mind talking about it a bit. Can't say that I have much positive to say about Halo these days, but damn I'm loving Halo 3.
-
while that does suck, it's probably for the best in the long run.
-
Well, we know how the Xbox team is spinning this at least. What's Halo Infinite? There's thousands of games launching on Series X!
-
I'm actually surprised about this because I think it wasn't the plan until the reception for last gameplay. I wonder how much it will improve.
-
@scotty the game was in trouble from an outsider looking in before the gameplay showing. They lost 2 lead directors last year and that's certainly not a good sign for a game with a long development cycle.

Please create one. Or even two, one for the console itself as well. I'm surprised there isn't one.
And not even Switch has a thread here which boggles my mind. All Nintendo stuff gets handled basically in this thread or something.

Dunno if anybody else out there is waiting on the new NVIDIA RTX cards, but they are likely announcing them on Aug 31st. Probably retail the first two weeks of Sept.
