That's News!

@capnbobamous
It feels like such a weird situation that Bioware is in, that's simultaneously thier fault an EA's.Take the company known for big single player games slowly make them transition to multiplayer, then gaas, then (possibly) one last chance to do a single player game.
-
Just finished reading the article and I'm glad the decision was made, but I'm definitely curious what their story-driven multiplayer idea was. On one hand, I somehow doubt they would have a simulated world like GTA where stories can make themselves, but on the other, could they have cracked the enigma code and delivered a rich story while simultaneously being a multiplayer experience?
The fact that they'd outright switch back to single player leads me to believe this multiplayer focus wasn't a fully formed idea.
-
I want them to force the dev doing it live-service just so they lose more money.
-
SIE's Japan Studio has been downsized, most of their staff are let go except for the ASOBI team. Apparently they're just not profitable enough, which sucks. I feel like this is big sign of PlayStation focusing less on Japan.
-
So they’re doing a mini scale remake of Final Fantasy VII for mobile featuring Crisis Core, Before Crisis and Dirge of Cerberus. The sprites are all reworked with new artwork and reworked scripts, and the battle system uses visuals from Remake.
-
-
@happygaming I'm weirdly hyped for that Battle Royale game, the FFVII setting is more than enough for me to separate it from everything else on the market.
-
@happygaming
Not gonna lie if that comes to Switch ill probably pick it up.
-
@dmcmaster same!
-
@bam541 I’m less a fan of battle royale games and just multiplayer in general, but I don’t have anything against the game existing either

inal Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 Will Be Directed by Naoki Hamaguchi; Tetsuya Nomura Still Involved

@bam541 Japan Studio is one of SIE's most creative first-party studios. This is heartbreaking.
-
Apparently someone goofed and posted March's PS plus lineup (it's already deleted) ... It's pretty hype.
update: it's official!
-
If that's true about FF7 at this point is there any reason to buy new games. Between Sony & Microsoft most AAAgames are given away in their services within a year
-
@paulmci27 apparently PS Plus's FF7R won't get a free upgrade to PS5, but still I think that's a good deal. Stuff like this are mostly win-win, so I'm totally down for it.
-
@bam541 I'm not complaining as long as I get to play the games I want I'm happy & maybe this will help them reach a wider audience. You're right seems like a win win.
-
This is might push me over the edge into getting a PS plus membership...
-
The Pokemon Presents thing turned out to be pretty bonkers. It's hard to me to be too excited for these since Sword burned me out, but that Arceus game looks hype (Pokemon BOTW!). Also intrigued by the Diamond/Pearl remakes.
-
I haven't played DPP before, but does that remake look... off to anyone else?
-
@bam541 I'm excited for Pokémon BOTW. Nice to see them try something different at least, even though the frame rate looks rough. This game seriously needs the Switch Pro.
