Wow. It only clicked just now @E_Zed_Eh_Intern but there was a time when you couldn't swim in GTA (and many games). I can't imagine going backwards like that. Even then, I hated driving into the ocean and getting WASTED.
I've been itching to hop back into PS2 GTA games though. I love GTA IV and V in their own right, but I miss the hilarious AI who kinda just squares up for a fight with you for no reason whatsoever. And the death animations of NPCs and all of those little rigid quirks in the old games. It's been years; time to go back.

Gonna be honest I'm probably just going to get this and then steal the fire truck immediately after leaving 8-Ball's garage, and then never make any progress after that.

@el-shmiablo seen that on Gematsu and they said that the AVA works with a producer that has ties with Yatsunori Mitsuda, so it might be Xenogears or Chrono Cross related? Listening to her music rn and it does give me JRPG vibes. Hopefully Sony announces this soon, this is my best guess, lol

@dmcmaster While I love Folklore (I actually got it from the GT Rewards Program back when that was a thing) I feel like it is far too niche to spend resources on remaking, especially recording new songs.

Honestly feels like Ubisoft have been going out of their way to shit on the Tom Clancy name lately.

I saw on Ghost Recon reddit one user is mocking up his idea for a Ghost Recon reboot and it sounds 1000x better than anything Ubisoft is coming up with for the franchise. Their pitch is almost like MGS V which makes way more sense than a battle royal or whatever the heck Wildlands / Breakpoint is supposed to be.
FYI - the only reason I was on the Ghost Recon reddit is because they've been having a field day (week) shitting on GR Frontline since it's been announced. It's both amusing and sad that we've come to this point in the franchise.
Unrelated, but I also saw somebody posted a section in FarCry 6 that is a direct copy from GR Breakpoint with a few aesthetic tweaks. We're at the point in the Ubisoft open world formula where the identity of these IPs are interchangeable. New fans might never know how good Ghost Recon used to be...

This banks entirely on whether you're renting the Nintendo DLC for other games or get ownership of that, which they're being very reserved about right now.

I was so ready to subscribe just for the N64 games, but I won't at this price. I don't own Animal Crossing so the DLC has no value to me.
Maybe a year from now when the N64 library really is significant.
Odd choice from Nintendo, they'll never stop surprising us.

If it was a GameCube selection with Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door included then that alone would make me subscribe.

I have enough physical N64 games to keep me happy and most of my friends have them laying around too so it's not a huge draw for me, but if they got F Zero GX or Paper Mario A Thousand Year door on Switch Online, I'd bite. Not about to spend $300 for F Zero or $100 for Paper Mario on GC.

@mbun I'd bank on a 100% chance that you only keep the DLC as long as you are subscribed. MAYBE they start out letting you keep this one just so it makes more sense to subscribe if it's the same price as buying the DLC outright but if (big if) they even do that, it won't last.
