@musou-tensei This game is Casltevania III so hard. I find this version of Bloodstained more interesing than the base game. Metroidvanias were not a big genre for me. I always preferred the Classicvania style of games. And it's only 9.99; picking it up day one.

You bought Akko's game, didnt you?
-
@el-shmiablo
I completely forgot that came out this week
-
@el-shmiablo A digital only game they got on disk in japan, while we get other lesser known anime license games on disk like Black Clover and The Seven Deadly Sins, for 50 bucks? No thank you.
-
Yeah. I'd grab it if it was available on disk.
-
I only get animu weebshit on digital.
I have weird buying practices.
Ports/definitive editions/remakes/animu/indies are digital only.
New AAA games must by physical.
Games from Plus break the rule.
I actually had a chance to play God of War for free but passed because I wanted to have disc.
-
While I want physical editions for everything I buy, If I were pushed into choosing only one type of game I could have on disk, it would be the anime visual novels, Jrpgs and such. They are just much better in general at holding their price and maybe eventually become rare and worth a few bob.
-
I'm not adverse to digital purchases but they either have to be on a pretty decent sale (I'm talking like $30 max) or it has to be digital only and something on the level of Yakuza 5 for me to even consider it for bigger releases.
-
Speaking of digital, Sony's label Unties Games has localized and released a new Touhou fangame called Touhou Shooter Azure Reflections, which is a horizontal shmup, on PSN for $25, currently available for $18 (launch discount on EU PSN only for PS+ members, In the US for all). It looks pretty good but nothing I'd spend more than 10 bucks on, digitally at least.
At least it's not by NISA.http://operationrainfall.com/2018/05/15/touhou-shooter-azure-reflections-psn/

Canada developed Brave Neptune will come to the west this year under the name Super Neptunia RPG, I havn't seen confirmation yet but the website has placeholders for PAL and US covers, so I hope for a retail release of course.
-
We have now confirmation that Super Neptunia RPG will get indeed a retail release, which makes me very happy

Seems Steam has suddenly developed an issue with nudity in games. Will be interesting to see if the likes of Witcher 3 gets hit at all. Me thinks not.

I'm not sure if I'm weeb enough. I play a lot of the games that weebs play, but I'm not to fond of anime, and I do find many tropes from Japanese gaems to be quite annoying.
-
Steam can ban deez nuts, glad I bought HuniePop directly from the devs website back then and will do so with the sequel as well, I only have it on Steam as well because of a Humble Bundle.
Let's see if the rancid SJW censorship fascists made porn game Ladykiller in a Bind will get censored too, somehow I doubt it.@sacred-arfaid
Yeah then you're not a weeb.
-
Fine by me. I'll just play whatever interests me without too much concern for labels.
-
So do I, it's just that in recent years my interest almost entirely shifted to japanese games (which I always loved) while the interest in new western games declines rapidly and I feel their quality declines, like I will always love the original 5 God of War games but this new one just doesn't speak to me, it looks like a GoW mod for frigging Uncharted and the like.
-
My interest has shifted away from AAA titles, mostly due to the open world craze. Japanese games tend to have their own annoyances like nonsense and over the top narratives, too much exposition, reliance on T&A to offset the poor writing, and using the same awful tropes for D-grade comedy, but I still tend to like playing those games more due to liking how Japanese devs make my favorite genre and the fact that there are still some interesting stories and likable characters in the bunch.
