  • We're finally in the last month of the year! I'm sure some of you are about to go on some form of break from your daily lives, so hopefully you spend that time with family and friends... and video games.

    For those curious, I'll be starting another thread around the turn of the year so we can keep this train going in 2019. This was actually my first time keeping a list and I definitely felt its effects - I felt more compelled to finish games and it's interesting to go back and look at what phases each of us was going through at the time.

  • I am terrible at finishing games, I get distracted easily so it's amazing that I finished as many as I did this year.

    All for a grand total of 26 games beaten, and to that I can add a decent amount on games I didn't like but played for too many hours, specifcally DQ11 and Xenoblade 2, plus many hours into Etrian Odyssey 5, SMT Strange Journey playthoughs in which I'm going pretty slowly, and a full playtrhough of Persona 3 FES.

    From the games I beat the best one is easily and whithout a doubt The Witcher 3, simply fantastic and something I could hardly get enough of, I was a bit hesitant before playing it and now there's no hessitation in saying it is one of my top 10 games ever, after that it would be between either Valkyria Chronicles 4 or Ys 8

    This turned out much better than I expected and at least personally, it really helped me keep track of how I spent my year and helped me focus on finishing games, instead of just letting them sit in limbo.

  • Thanks for keeping us updated @SabotageTheTruth. It was a lot of fun.

    I played an insane number of games last year,a lot of that was due to getting new platforms and settling down a bit after a few years travelling, so I had a lot to catch up on. But not I think I've done a decent job there so I doubt I'll complete as many next year but we'll see in that topic I suppose! :D

  • Thanks for keeping up with this. I enjoyed keeping track, looking back on what I've played and seeing what others play over a year. I'll probably move my list into a spreadsheet to reference more easily

    I'm looking forward to the 2019 list.. even though I'll probably only finish a handful of games due to some life events

    This showed that I got through a lot more games than I thought I would in a year. I had as a goal to kinda do one game a month, but ended up more than that.
