@el-shmiablo kinda looks like it plays like the classic games, and not the car ones.
Which means Mario party murders will be a thing again

I hope the new Mario Party plays more like a traditional MP. Fuck that car ass bullshit.
Did you see a car in the Super Mario Party Trailer?....

I love smash Ultimate but this was a disappointing direct, not showing Metroid means it's a 2020 game and where was the star fox game?

@yoshi I mean, I really didn't see much besides a bunch of hipsters playing the game in situations that will literally never happen.

I hated the Direct. Will edit and elaborate more later.

@a7x458 Not necessarily, they did say they gonna focus on 2018 releases and show 2019 and beyond stuff in a later direct (maybe at Gamescom).

Nintendo won by virtue of showing Smash alone.

I wouldn't have minded a better music loop during the Smash lecture. Two days later and those 18 notes are still burned into my brain.

Hmm, Daemon X Machina looks great in the gameplay, for me definitely the best new game they announced.

I haven't liked Smash Bros since SSB Melee on GameCube and I have to say that including the full franchise roster is really cool. I'd love there to be the modes Melee had as well but knowing I can play those characters and some of the levels including the F-Zero one is really fun.
Was there a Mario Party announcement I missed? I'd like the team that did the mini-games in Odyssey to handle the mini-games on the Switch Mario Party. I'd go as far to say the series has been bad/broken in many regards starting at Mario Party 4 and I know they can return to the greatness of Mario Party 2 & 3 if the right people are taking their time to design a coherent map with above average mini-games.
