Cyberpunk 2077 (XBO/PS4/PC)
-
This is the closest I'll ever get to the Judge Dredd game I've dreamt of since I was a child
-
@black-cell I mean, technically Cyberpunk did it in 1988. :p
Just watched the trailer without sound in a movie theater waiting for my last movie of festival to start, but a lot of the character designs look like they are updated versions of the illustrations in 2020. This makes me pretty happy. :)
-
The trailer contained a secret letter from the studio. Eurogamer typed it out:
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-06-10-cd-projekt-red-unveils-cyberpunk-2077-at-e3-2018"You'll be able to create your own character". I'm even more in!
-
@sentinel-beach take my gd money already!
-
I just keep getting more and more hyped for this!
-
I am pretty happy about this trailer. I get a good sensory experience that helps me imagine what this world will be like. Obviously, I wish there were details and gameplay but I think it is coming very soon. The WWE nature of this trailer was kinda meant for the MS show as opposed to being a great display of the game itself.
-
I do hope CDPR does show some gameplay or something substancial soon, because the trailer was great but we still know pretty much nothing.
-
I liked that we saw the various classes in this trailer.
-
Also, the subway map is very reminiscent of Tokyo's. But less nuts. :)
-
I want to dive into this world so bad....
-
I was pretty much sold before we saw anything.. I'm extra sold now. I hope we get to see a bit more during the week
-
The best game of E3 besides TLOU2. The trailer was great and I'm even more thrilled to see whats to come.
-
Big news! Like game-changing big: the game will be an FPS. A first-person RPG. That possibility hadn't honestly even crossed my mind. This calls for some recalibration for the expectations, but sure, why not. Deus Ex, for instance, has done that successfully many times.
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-is-an-fps/Also, there'll be a stat for cool. Now that's cool.

Was not interested in this. but now its FPS/RPG hybrid. im in.
-
@sentinel-beach thought that this was known already? Didn't they announce a few months back that it was FPS and not the hybrid FPS/TPS they'd originally planned? I recall people briefly losing their shit over it on GAF or whatever.
-
@tokyoslim Could be, I hadn't heard. And it seems like most of the people are losing their shit right now all over the net.
-
@sentinel-beach Yeah. That's basically what happened before. It was originally specified to be TPP/FPP on the 2013 PDF and people were mad at that. Then, I think a polish paper detailed it a few months ago that it was mostly FPP, and then people were mad at that. Now the general public appears to be catching up.

Late to this thread, but what I really want from this game is for it to go fully weird, but not in the way people might expect. Not in the Sam Lake 'this world is particularly weird and freaky' way (though that would still be cool). But I want CP77 to get weird in its music and OST. Witcher 3 was fairly favoured for its OST with its famous Lelelele's and Gwent scores. And I hope CDPR keeps this trend.
This game takes place 60 years in the future. Now think of how music has changed since 60 years ago. Imagine that same progression but into the future. Actually, we don't have to be that predictive. There are plenty of songs that exist right now that feel weird and futuristic. Personally, I'm looking at artists like Alice Glass for her unique grittiness and The Algorithm for their funky fusion of techno and metal. When I played Watch dogs 2, I found Crystal Castles' Crimewave on the ingame radio and I wasn't that into the song, but I listened to it because I thought it would be the kind of music that Marcus might listen to. And it really grew on me and to fit the game so well!!
-
@frasafrase Nice thoughts! I hope they'll get really personal with audio as well.
Also, W3's Gwent score = GOAT.
-
I hope you can fly cars and drive them too on the streets.
