Cyberpunk 2077 (XBO/PS4/PC)

@dipset honestly I just find the lore and setting fascinating by itself, in no small parts because of the parallels that can be drawn about how things evolve in our world, both when you see the original 2020 setting and our irl 2020 and how they envision a possible 2077 (which is probably much cooler and optimistic that the one we'll have).

Both minimum and recommended specs are quite modest. You can happily play this game on a card from like 2012. Not sure why people thought this game would require insane hardware considering CDPR are technical wizards but I bet this gave plenty of PC owners a sigh of relief.

because fomo and people are stupid, that is the simple answer

I'm not shocked about the specs, it doesn't look mind blowing.
-
I will say that obviously, I want RTX on for this game - and even the recommended specs aren't getting you that.
-
Sure, a card from 2012 might run it, but if you want to turn on Keanu's hair physics, you need that RTX 3090.
-
Realistically, i could probably do 3440x1440 RTX with decent frame rates with a 2080 Super. But IMO, that's the bare minimum.
Let's not forget that the launch of TW3 was kind of a mess, even after several polish (not Polish, though technically also correct) delays. They needed a few months to sort out frame rates and bugs and such. Even wizards need a bunch of extra time.

Here's a cool website

@bam541 I'd like to think these shots aren't bullshots.
-
So they’re crunching on the Day 1 patch?
-
@dipset probably yes. I can still see this game at launch being as messy as Witcher 3 did, even with the crunch, which is a depressing thought.
-
Was TW3 bad bad with bugs? I played all three Witcher games a solid 1-2 years after release.
-
@dipset At least on consoles it was.
-
Guys, Cyberpunk never existed

Really enjoy watching live foley / sound recordings. Old film or 2020 video games, I just love watching this stuff.
I remember I watched a BTS video for SOCOM Confrontation back in 2007 recording real life guns for the game. At the time, I think Battlefield might’ve been the only game doing that. It was really cool at the time and it’s pretty standard now.
I’d be curious how the live recording gets altered in Sound Edit but idk if that makes for pretty EPK footage.

some of those cosplays are insane

Game's delayed again. It won't show up at this year's Game Awards, which I'm sure will be a sigh of relief from other devs looking to win something there, lol.
