Lumines just returned as a remastered version of itself after more than a decade. Tetsuya Mizuguchi's (Rez, Space Channel 5) game combined Tetris' 2x2 tetrominos with flashy and addictive music and visuals.
Lumines Remastered is on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Swiiiitch. You heard it, play it on the go if you wish.
I bought it on PS4, the price was 15 €. There's this special opening bundle for two weeks, where you get the game's digital soundtrack, a dynamic theme and five PSN avatars included with the game.
Tried it for half an hour, really addictive (as I remembered), I was in a trance before I knew it. :)

I haven't played any Lumines game at all, for some reason i skipped it during my time with PSP. This'll be a good time to jump in... if didn't spent all my money on other games days ago.

I finally got to try this game out. Just bought it for like 6$ and jumped straight into the challenge mode. It's really fun! My first run was 23 minutes, and it felt way shorter than that.
I like the art style and the music so far. It definitely looks and sounds like something from the 2000s, which is not a bad thing at all. The music also kinda sounds like the random beats I make using my Korg Gadget, it has that straightforward electronic feel to it.
Right now I'm still maxed out at level 22 in the challenge mode, I really want to progress quickly so I can unlock some new tracks. It's pretty hard though.

Lumines Remastered is pretty ace but it has nothing on the glory of Electronic Symphony.
