Easy Allies Top 10s
-
I would have started a riot if number one wasn't number one.
-
-
Haven't watched yet but I'm prepared to be disappointed when the actual #1, Hideki Naganuma, ends up being a no-show.
-
SO many good composers out there. I must say I quite agreed with the list this time around, even though I would of liked to see Keiichi Okabe on there after how much the Nier Automata soundtrack impacted me, and the fact that I still listen to it on a regular basis.
-
I think I enjoyed this top 10 more than any other to date, because getting to sit back and listen is wonderful.
At entry #6, I'm recently familiar with that person because I had just seen them during the DICE awards.
#5 was obviously going to show, but while I was initially surprised it felt a little low, the following four entries were no brainers.
And full bias speaking: I really was hoping to see who ended up at #4 be in the top three, but hey, still beautiful music regardless.
The top two are exactly the two you're thinking of. But I was quite pleasantly surprised with the order.

Great list. Admittedly I'm not too familiar with the composers themselves but recognizing their music is enough to make me know that.
That ending though, so jolly.
-
Obviously these are personal lists, but Western Composers got a lil robbed. Jeremy Soule - Elder Scrolls Composer, being an omission is only slightly miffing but Martin O'Donnell?! Halo is one of the most iconic soundtracks in the industry. A glaring omission.
Not paying attention to the picks though, I adored the video. What a jolly edit, full of great music. Amazing Editing!

@sabotagethetruth Your time has come, my friend.

My knowledge of the Game Boy is very limited to the point I only recognized the top three entries. And while I'm happy with the order, objectively speaking, I think a case should be made to switch the top two.
-
I'm guessing Game Boy Color titles weren't considered? I would have had Metroid 2 and Gargoyles Quest on the list, but it's pretty solid regardless.

So far, this has been my least favorite top 10 for no other reason than having very little connection to the topic. Sure, I know OF Mortal Kombat and a couple of the characters, but most I never heard of prior to watching (which I think is the point in and of itself), but with no first hand experience, I think this one will be forgettable for me.
-
@brannox I love this top 10 if we remove kyle's honorable mention regarding Lui Kang
-
@brannox Since the list didn't contain 4 Zelda towns, it can't be my personal least favorite.
Kyle lists are usually my favorites, actually.
-
@sabotagethetruth To each their own (I actually quite enjoyed the under appreciated Pokemon list).
It's just for me, (and me alone), I prefer topics I can relate to on, at least, some broad and basic level. And believe it or not, as much as I've been exposed to MK in terms of mindshare, I actually haven't put too much time actually playing the games. I played the OG PS1 port a LOOOOOONG time ago and dabbled in a couple of matches on a friend's Xbox with MKX. Outside of that, no significant hands on time for me.
-
@brannox You could fix that with 11!
-
@sabotagethetruth I could.... If I were into the actual mechanics of fighting games.
MK is the ONLY fighting game franchise that has any appeal to me. However, not enough for me to throw down 60 bucks for a game I would only play like, three times. Ever.
