I picked up SteamWorld Quest with a bid of $0.
SteamWorld Dig 2 and SteamWorld Heist reviewed in the very high 80s so it should be a good deal, just hope it won't be delayed.
-
Damn, I wanted Steam World Quest, but I couldn't bear the thought of going into E3 with no open slots.
-
I didn't know that Wargroove would be getting reviews this soon in the year, i thought there's no release date yet lol. Now it's 85 on Opencritic.
-
Am I able to buy a game that is currently only a rumor? If I buy it and it turns out I got the title wrong, would it still work because the intention was there?
-
I think that after you buy it, if you clarify exactly what it is you're buying with the content and developer "The rumored Splinter Cell Game from Ubisoft" I'll link it if it comes out. If it's not a splinter cell game, or it's not by Ubisoft then I think that's a zero though.
I think the dev is important, otherwise, you're just guessing at a concept and that's too broad.
-
Yeah ok that's fair. I don't know if I'm going to do anything, but it's good to know
-
@elitefusion Can you help with @Capnbobamous question please.
-
You can't bid on something that doesn't have a listing. I was able to message elitefusion though and he added on Shin Megami Tensei real quickly, which then let me bid on it.
-
"Fun" fact - I'm projected to win this whole shindig according to the site. If playing fantasy football has taught me one thing, it's that projections don't mean anything, so I'm just going to pretend like it's an important thing that has happened.
-
Sorry I don't check this thread as often as twitter/reddit/discord. Those are better places to contact me with questions. If you want to bid on an unlisted game, you can message me to add it. I'm generally pretty lenient about what goes in.
-
Yes! I managed to snatch Super Mario Maker 2 with a balls-on-the-table bid of $100.
The original scored an 88 on Metacritic so this one has high potential, especially if co-op is also added as hinted. I can see it picking up a lot of 10s and 9s, and very few 8s or lower.
And with that, my roster is now complete:
Not too sure about my Shenmue 3 counter-pick anymore, I got a bit too snarky for my own good there.

It shall be your downfall!
-
@axel It looks like Bosman also picked up Super Mario Maker 2.
-
@sabotagethetruth Oh yeah, what's the link for their league again? I'm curious to check it out.
-
@axel https://www.fantasycritic.games/league/6aaec6b2-fc85-4a07-83c6-79b6ec0881e1/2019
If that link doesn't work, the name of their league is Easy Allies' Smartest Person Contest.
-
@sabotagethetruth Thanks!
Wow, they seem to have a lot of slots for extra picks, makes managing your $100 budget a lot trickier. Also looks like Ian got outbid by $1 for Super Mario Maker 2, gotta hurt!
-
@axel Yeah, in a league with less people, it's a lot easier to pick more games/have more open slots.
-
I dunno, there are a lot of unpicked games. I think even with our size, 8-10 entry teams would be feasible. And it could make late picks, especially those geared to simply avoid sub 70 scores, pretty interesting.
-
@sazime I mean, our league was very lax on eligibility. I think 3/5ths of your team is ineligible in the league Bosman is running. I opened it up more because we have 14 people.
Edit: I guess Iceborne is categorized as a "new game" and not an expansion or whatever. So I will amend to 2/5ths of your team. :p

@tokyoslim I think a lot of games that will release this year haven't even been announced yet. Everyone could have easily done another 2 each I believe.
