Is Doom the only gaming franchise where each and every game is Masterpiece?

@b-cell The events of Doom 64 are directly referenced in Doom 2016.

@el-shmiablo
It was also made with ID's blessing

@dmcmaster I sometimes wonder if he is trolling or really this dense.

I think the LEGO games franchise qualifies for sure.

@sentinel-beach
Ah yes how can we forget 2020's Lego Doom
-
I think Half life is a strong series along with it's Portal Counterpart. I want to include Metroid and Zelda, however, they've had a few questionable titles released in the past. I'm not on about that atrocious CD-I Legend Of Zelda either.
-
I honestly don’t think Half Life has any duds. I played Half Life Source in 2012 and was blown away by it. I might like it more than HL2.
Went through the whole series, expansions like Blue Shift. Loved them all.
-
Just dropping in to say I love the Doom movie. Bye!
-
They made four mainline Advance Wars games without faltering in quality. If we're placing a premium on "each game is close to equal", I can't think of a longer series.
I think the 3D Zelda series is consistently amazing. Everyone's got a different take though, of course.
-
@chocobop if you wanna get technical the Advance Wars games are just a localized name for a series that had been going on since the Famicom. Can't speak to their quality since I've never played any besides the first GBA one though.

Half life: Decay! First true FPS co-op experience I ever had on the ps2 and one of my fav games. The game is out there for PC to install to this date.

@orthrus The combination of "Half-Life" and "co-op" has me jonesing for the good ol' Sven Coop days.

Are they all actually masterpieces/great, or are some just decent fun?
If I had to throw anything out to the original question, Shining Force would be my vote, SF 1,2 and 3 are great, the GG/CD games are really good too. (This doesnt include the Shining spin offs)
I can't speak for the two Valkyria games on the psp (or vita), but 1 and 4 are pretty awesome
-
@acardattack Decent fun. Just trolling a bit (badly), sorry.

I've been looking for a a nice co-op game to play with my Friend Claire, on weekends. I'm going to install this gem.
I remember it being a short but sweet game. Shame Gina and (I can't remember the second character's name) didn't get mentioned in the later series.
