Jade Raymond's Haven Studio is now part of PlayStation Studios. They're only working on their debut game now, it'll be some multiplayer world thingy.

https://blog.playstation.com/2022/07/14/introducing-playstation-stars-an-all-new-loyalty-program/
A new Sony loyalty program called PlayStation Stars launches later this year. Free to join, basically gives you "3D trophies" and even PSN money as long as you keep playing on their system and earn specific trophies, for example. I think it sounds cool: I only play on PS so getting some small benefits here and there out of that is just free bonus for me.

@yoshi well they’re obviously doing this to offset the salary increases they are doing across the board to help employees manage inflation.

@e_zed_eh_intern Obviously.

@e_zed_eh_intern i don't really care what their reason for doing it is. i just find it extremely funny.
yeah increasing your systems price is definitely going to attract more customers.

Singed up for the Playstation Stars program, it's basically "My Nintendo " although I think the points earned per purchase is 50/50 better and worse.
Pros
Points are a bit easier to track at a glance ($50.00=500 points)
Points can be earned via some trophies (mostly silver I think)Cons
No quick way to redeem points currently. In order to redeem you must go to the Stars page (or on the Playstation App on your phone, which I've found recently has some nice QOL updates) redeem for a PSN code that I assume will be emailed to you within 24 hours. Where as My Nintendo just has a "Use Coins" button at checkout.Possibility
Maybe it's just me but the little Diorama things you can earn make me think Home 2.0 will be coming to PS5

The pro hasn’t lived up to what I was hoping it would, and I’ve held off on a bunch of great games while we waited for the console leader to play catch-up.
Spider-Man, God of war, Horizon, unchartered. 4K, 60. I’ve got some serious playtime ahead before I even get around to Last of us 2. I wonder what the next controller will also entail?
