I can easily say it is the finest open world game I've ever played. I've posted a lot of impressions over the months so I'll keep it short, but as a newcomer to the series, this was an incredible experience. Goofy, emotional, brutal, and filled to the brim with interesting diversions, I fully understand why Huber brings it up on every Frame Trap. I'm sold on the rest of the franchise now thanks to this, bring on Kiwami!

Superb game. The story is absolutely awful, but the relationship between the pilot and the titan was really charming. The gameplay is where this game truly shines though, it's absolutely brilliant. The mission variety for a shooter is really good, with brilliant shooting mechanics, and satisfying platforming. I played on the hardest difficulty for the trophies, and even though you will die a lot on this difficulty, apart from 1 really huge difficulty spike in the 1st real mission (which was more to do with me not being able to see the right route through the area), and a few other smaller ones, it wasn't overly difficult.
The multiplayer is also really, really great. It can take a while to get into games because there isn't a huge player base but once you're in it's really great. It's a massive shame EA sent this game out to die. It deserved better.
I'm not an FPS guy, but Doom is my favourite game of this generation, and Titanfall 2 is probably in the top 3 alongside Uncharted 4. If you're ever wondering whether you should take a risk and buy this game, or thinking to yourself that you'd like a shooter to play but can't decide what to get, I highly recommend this game.

Pyre. I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Not Yakuza 0 GOTY level, but end of the year, I'd have to think real hard about whether I liked this or Persona 5 more.

Got that Platinum Trophy in Kingdom Hearts II. Man, that took a while. Birth By Sleep is probably gonna take even longer, so I think a break may be needed before I go grinding away again, but I still love these games, KH2 is so jolly it was a pleasure to die relentlessly to the optional bosses.

I finished Space Quest IV and also Resident Evil Survivor. I'm kind of keen to play more Space Quest, but I kind of want to move onto games I've yet to beat.

I completed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided last night and posted a few times on the general topic with thoughts.
The short version is I had a blast with the game and wish you didn't get the sense that a lot of things were taken out of it. If you like your 'immersive sims', it's absolutely worth playing.
Just finished Telltales Game of Thrones i hope theres a season 2 i wanna see what happens

Just finished Pyre.
I think it's really easy to look at this game and dismiss it as a silly sports game, but its execution is truly unique and wonderful. Supergiant hasn't always found its strength in building characters but they fixed that with this game. Not only does your own party have interesting stories and motivations, so do your opponents - so much so that sometimes you're tempted to lose purposely and let them go free. It forces you to make interesting decisions that I really haven't encountered in a game before. Also mix in the fact that the "combat" has a surprising amount of depth, since your composition, talents, and talismans can play a huge role in how you play the game.
Plus, it's a beautiful world dripping in lore, with Korb's soundtrack being yet again a highlight. You'd have to be insane not to appreciate the depth this game has to offer, give it a go!
Having the credits to Call of Duty: Infinite Warefare rolling on the screen. To be honest I cant remember much of the campaign. Flying in space was cool at first, then it got kinda dull. Generic shooter even though I found a weapon I really really liked that could snipe and auto fire which was cool. I like mechs and stuff but the bots didnt do much for me here, even though Ethan was cool. I think the game wanted me to feel something when people died, but it was all a bit... meh. Will go back to Titanfall 2 now. Glad I got this game for free thanks to amazon messing up. Might give zombies a shot some other day as I really enjoyed it in black ops.

Just finished up Ni No Kuni. I loved this game.. the world, characters, music and story were all really beautiful. There were aspects I didn't love, such as the combat system, and certain aspects began to feel repetitive after 40 or so hours.. but overall I had a great time playing through it.
I'm glad I decided to pick it up before 2 comes out.. now I'm really looking forward to it!

Finished Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as I had been meaning to play it forever. I wish I had skipped it. It's not a very good game.
I finished Megamans 7-10 via the Megaman Legacy Collection 2. I forgot how good these games are and sometimes difficult. Also the music! Why can't Capcom make good music like they use to.

Resident Evil 7... in VR!
Although I've played all of the main entries to the series (besides 6 because well... I think it's okay to skip that one), I'd never say I truly loved any of the games besides 1 and 2. In terms of spooks, Silent Hill was always more successful in that department. After completing RE7, I can safely say... it's a step in the right direction, but still not exactly brilliant.
I can't properly describe how playing in VR adds to the tension and atmosphere. It took a few sessions to stop feeling nauseated but once I got used to it, it was smooth sailing. However, it's... not a very pretty game in VR. Some textures are downright bad and seeing a pixelated shadow would always kill a bit of the fear. It was kinda funny being able to poke my head around a corner, see absolutely nothing there, step forward while still looking in that direction, and suddenly see an enemy materialize out of thin air.
There's a lot I can just say is downright mediocre to bad about this one. Enemy variety is pitiful and the AI of the characters that chase you can be silly at times - walking in circles, staring directly at you but not "noticing" you, things like that. Combat as a whole is rather clunky, especially in VR - sometimes enemies would get so close to me, all I saw was a mass of flesh and had to hope the fire button was doing something.
Despite there being a lot of problems, I definitely had a lot of fun at the same time. It was my longest VR "experience" so far and there were a lot of moments that had me jump out of my chair or even occasionally, scream. Big step in the right direction for the franchise, I really hope they take the overall feel of this one and apply some more polish.
Fittingly, Resident Evil 7 is a...

Finished Jack the Ripper DLC for AC: Syndicate with 100 % sync and all the trophies. That was a good story, I feel. Like an epilogue for the Frye twins 20 years after the main game. The mood was darker which fit the settings well. I liked the new fear mechanics: you get a fear bomb, a brutal beating and my favourite the spikes. It was every time satisfying to nail an enemy into the ground with a spike and scare off the surrounding enemies that way. (It was a U shaped thing that locked the enemy's arm into the ground, not lethal.)
Finished Life is Strange last night while it had some good moments i dont quite get all the love it gets

I finished Trails in the Sky FC and loved it. I've already talked about how I enjoyed the game around the forums and they all still apply. Fun combat and great characters with growth. The ending was great and makes me really want to jump into the second chapter but I am pacing myself. I definitely would get burnt out if I tried to jump into SC and the 3rd back to back. I'll get to it eventually and I am looking forward to it.
Jones' full playthrough stream of Plants Vs. Zombies made me want to go back and play it myself. That and watching Lost were my top 2 time wasters while hanging out in between classes at the college I commuted to. It was fun to go back and play it again, especially since it is a short easy full playthrough. I usually played a couple levels while cooking dinner or laying in bed before going to sleep.
@Tragosaurus yea wait abit SC is like 60-80 hours

@DisturbedSwan You gotta give me the skinny on Stories Untold. Your high score and the fact that i don't understand what the game actually is makes me curious. Its been sitting on my wishlist for too long.
Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy Ep.2 Not only do i like it more than the second film but it has my favorite scene in Telltale history in my opinion. Small spoiler ahead but i just say which character it involves and tease the scene cause i really want people to play it, i take spoilers seriously so it isn't explicit .
It's all Rocket Racoon and it goes there is all i'll say
