Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS/XB/PC)
-
The season pass will have two big expansions taking place in Ireland and in France: "Wrath of the Druids & The Siege of Paris". These seem really cool additions later next year to return to. Man, I'm hungry for some Assassin's Creed adventuring!

I'm kinda disappointed a AC1 remaster isn't included with the season pass
-
@phbz I'm kinda with ya, I've been super on the fence about this game as I got Odyssey and never started it. I will say though that the last round of previews got me a good amount more interested and probably the bigger selling point was I think my wife is super looking forward to it now.

I'm disappointed with Valhalla-at this point Assassins Creed needs to be axed...
-
@jdincinerator I haven't played Valhalla, but Odyssey, Origins, and Syndicate are all beloved titles in the franchise. Saying it needs to be 'axed' seems extreme to say the least.
-
@capnbobamous I think you missed the joke in that statement lol.
-
@jdincinerator ... shit.

I've went ahead & bought this. Even though I only put 10 hours into Origins & 20 into Odyssey I've seen a few reviews that say it cuts out most of the bullshit quests and level gating. Plus fucking Vikings innit.
-
only a handfull of hours in, I haven't played a AC game properly since 3. Really enjoy vikings so this is a game right up my alley. This is a game I can see I jump back into now and then for a long time.
-
Currently 43 hours in and I feel as though it's more of an addiction than anything substantially great. Eivor isn't very charismatic and most of the characters aren't that memorable.
-
@jdincinerator How is the exploration loop? Any good or just the usual follow that icon?
-
@phbz You can go and explore with lots to see and do. Plenty of side activities to keep you busy for hours and hours on end you don't need to follow a beaten path.
-
@jdincinerator Do you come across cool stuff organically? I'm starting to feel tempted.
-
@phbz Depends what you mean by "cool stuff".
-
@phbz
So far the only cool things I have come across off the top of my head are a guy with a Ax in his head, and a guy sleep walking off a mountain, on to a zipline
-
@jdincinerator If you organically find new places to explore/things to do and if it's more than "please go there kill 6 boars".
And are there environmental puzzles as an alternative to just killing stuff?
-
I just bumped into some random that wanted me to help him become a legendary hunter. The outcome was unexpected & very funny.
-
@phbz Just as an FYI Odyssey has made "unguided" mode the default when playing AC, meaning quests aren't marked on the map and you need to listen to NPCs, follow hints in your quest log, and explore to find most destinations.
