@scotty The narrative director stated so: https://www.vg247.com/2020/05/01/assassins-creed-valhalla-characters-male-female-canon/

Yeah, I learned it today.

Random thought
What do you think the odds of Assassin's Creed 1 and the PSP game getting remastered releases as part of Valhalla's season pass?

@el-shmiablo said in Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS/XB/PC):
I'm currently on Revelations in my mission to play through every Assassin's Creed game, so I look forward to playing this game in 2027.
The only good things about Revelations are the set pieces at the beginning and the conclusion of Ezios arc, which still gives me chills just thinking about it. Just rush the main story. Everything else is not worth playing, especially when you have ACIII up next which was a huge evolution for the franchise.

Super excited for this. Excited to see how the series will evolve. Super happy that the Blade has returned! The only thing that’s a bit annoying is that, the Hidden Blade was meant to be this amazing invention of the Assassins in the 12 century, and here it is showing up 3 centuries earlier. I don’t think we’re ever going to get back to pre Syndicate AC where the series as a whole made some sort of sense.

@hazz3r
Especially with AC:V leaning more heavily into mythology then Oddesy did.....allegedly.That said I hope stealth kills return to being a one hit kill, it's so infuriating in OR and OD to get in the right position drop down and only take a 6th of health or like that one sliver of health but instantly puts everyone on alert.
-
@hazz3r Personally I'm a bit of an Ezio fanboy. I've played through to Revelations back when the games came out and yeah, I agree that it loses a bit of steam compared to the games before it. Mostly I just hate anything having to do with the tower defense mode they pushed into the game.
I've also played a bit of Black Flag and got about halfway through Unity.
-
I need the cliff notes of Ezio's story. I loved AC2 and I really liked the gameplay of AC Brotherhood. Running around Rome was excellent too but the story went off the rails by mid-AC2 and I lost complete interest in Brotherhood knowing that they had no end in sight.
I'm pretty sure this whole series was supposed to be a trilogy if I recall back to 2006 interviews or something.
-
@dmcmaster How is that possible???? Just yesterday I fought a Cyclops in AC Odyssey. If it gets to be even more mythological we have God of War at that point.
-
I just don't like when maps are this big. I'm sure this one will have even bigger map than OD. Looking all those things to do triggers my obsession and makes it a chore.
-
Gods themselves are all powerful assassins fighting in a theological war against other God-templars trying to cleanse and assimilate the universe under one God.

@DIPSET Insert Tim and Eric gif here

@capnbobamous
Which one?
-
''Mind Blown'' I presume.
-
Small bit of trivia.
Odyssey actually isn't the biggest game in the series. In terms of square footage of map size, Black Flag is still the largest, though it is mostly ocean.
-
I didn't know that and like you said, land size is more intimidating.
