Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS/XB/PC)

Yeah that trailer really sucked. I don't know how they thought showing us some vistas rather than combat, traversal or, well, anything would work. Incredibly de-hyped.
-
I was more optimistic after the cinematic trailer. This trailer just did the opposite.
-
I didn't think the prospect of an open world viking game would be so unnapealing to me, but AC just manages to make this completely uninteresting if I'm honest, and that doesn't even have to do with the fact I lost all interest in the series.
-
-
I was expecting something more radical; looks like the final version of Origins/Odyysey set.
-
I don't want to just shit on this game, and the series already would have a tough time winning me back (to not say impossible), but my god does this look bland.
-
Faces looks really bad and Odyysey was looking more beatiful than this graphically. Weird.
-
Valhalla will be released on November 17th. Which is just two days away from Cyberpunk. Basically this means for me at least that I'll invade England on Christmas, guess I'll have beaten Cyberpunk by then, in one month.
And my goal is to play both of them on PS5!
-
@scotty I think that comes down to Ancient Greece being a cooler, more exotic location than England.
-
That's one of the reasons.
-
@el-shmiablo
Idk I thought Egypt was going to be awesome, what with running around kicking Mummy ass like Brendan Fraiser but Origins ended up feeling so boring.
-
I actually thought that verdant, vibrant nature looked very appealing in the gameplay they showed.
But at the same time, it looks like another 80+ hour epic and I feel discouraged before I even get started.

That is another thing also. I got bored of games usually way before than this long. Half of it is ideal at max.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Story Trailer
Youtube VideoA good trailer. Turns out I'm pretty hungry for a new AC! Conquering England step by step while destroying kings and warlords in the process, yes please!
...though I'll wait for Christmas with this one. Maybe even January. Cyberpunk will take some time first, you know.
-
My interest for this is going up and down. I was super hyped at the announcement, then it kinda dipped, saw some gameplay and felt a little "meh I dunno.. maybe". Now I saw the latest trailer and I can't wait to get my hands on this and run around like a berserker.
-
So I was kinda late to the party on the AC soft reboot games and am slowly working my way through them.
Played Origins and loved it.
Am currently playing Odyssey and find it not as good but it's growing on me.
Hearing that crowd blending is coming back and Jesper Kyd is returning to the series for Valhalla's soundtrack made my interest fucking skyrocket for Valhalla.
-
An excellent new Deep Dive trailer for the game (7,5 mins). I love this series. And to conquer and explore England now, simply yes.

It does look really good, still very unsure about it. Maybe after a price drop.
-
The season pass will have two big expansions taking place in Ireland and in France: "Wrath of the Druids & The Siege of Paris". These seem really cool additions later next year to return to. Man, I'm hungry for some Assassin's Creed adventuring!

I'm kinda disappointed a AC1 remaster isn't included with the season pass
