I've got first inFAMOUS as a free game after PSN hack. I liked it, so later I've got inFAMOUS 2, which I also liked. Barely remember anything about them except that they were enjoyable and had nice mobility.

Cole MacGrath's story is one of my favourites from the PS3 era. Those two games are excellent, I 100 %'ed them both several times. Really cool powers that worked well both in combat and traversing the city. And the story is suitably (and surprisingly) dark, I feel. A really unique atmosphere, sort of realistic but still also super-human. I found myself always waiting eagerly for the next cinematic in the story.

I was tempted to put Infamous 2 on my list, but I never actually got around to finish it, just played through the first one but really liked it. Even imported Infamouse 2 CE from USA but yeah haha! Glad to see it on the list though!

It was one of most enjoyable experiences I had with a game. Travelling was great and Amp was a solid melee weapon. It was easier than Infamous but I liked that aspect because first one was a little bit hard than it should. Adding new powers to Cole(ice&fire) was interesting and fun idea. It's just that, like I said in previous pages: Franchise is soo underrated. It's Sony's one of the Top 5 IPs. It has great potential to be a crowd pleaser but they just couldn't break the leg.

The Infamous games have had consistently fantastic movement mechanics, and I like myself some good movement mechanics in games. I would challenge myself by traveling around and seeing how long I could go without touching solid ground.

Infamous 2 for me is easily the best in the series. Didn't mess around too much with the custom levels though

Infamous is one of those franchises I consistently hear praise for, yet it's one of those (like the aforementioned Resistance) that is, to this day, mostly stranded on its native hardware (Well, I hear much more praise for 1 and 2, as I don't hear near enough talk proportionally for Second Son or Last Light). I passed on Infamous at the time because it's not my kind of game, but I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been an all in package for every Infamous game remastered for PS4 (with SS bundled in).
Still, good on ya Infamous 2 for making our top 25, and as I said and alluded to when I posted about Persona: I'm curious what else could still be coming. Sure I have two games in mind, but there are 17 reveals to go.

So far the only game that I have experience is Pokemon Black and White. Like most people, I was way into the new 150 Pokemon idea, and I feel like this is Game Freak's best attempt at a story in recent memory. I also remember really liking the environments and vibes in those games. Gen 5 isn't my favorite, but definitely noteworthy.
I didn't have a PS3, so I never got around to the first couple Infamous games, but it was always on my radar if I ever did get a PS3.

L.A. Noire is an interestingly bad game, in that there are elements of it that are totally interesting, like a painstaking and atmospheric recreation of postwar L.A., but the game just bungles everything it's trying to do. Its plot is sluggish, the facial capture ruins the ability to light its characters' faces in convincing ways, the gameplay is mediocre, and for all its obvious inspiration found in film noir, it still doesn't really have an idea of how to use its camera in a cutscene. Just a uniquely joyless game.
Infamous 2 is fine. It's an obvious sequel: new map, new powers, more variety. Hard to raise a pointedly bad word against it, but also hard to find anything exceptional either.

Wow, this is lower than I expected. The inFamous games are just so good. Second Son's my personal favorite, but I definitely understand why 2 is so great. For starters, the game just looks really good. New Orleans is a beautiful place and also a nice change of pace from the first game's dirty urban setting. While the gameplay haven't changed too much from the first game, I can tell how much smoother it feels to move around and aim from the get go, which is great because I think the core gameplay of the inFamous games is very solid already. I want to shout out the ending for the Evil playthrough specifically, it's the most emotional moment of the game and it makes me feel so bad for doing it, it's probably the biggest reason why I just flat out refuse to do Evil playthroughs in other games ever since. Also, collecting the blast shards is so addicting. Parkour's one of my favorite things to do in games and climbing around to pick these shards up is more satisfying than it should have been.

Who else remembers the comments on GameTrailers videos back in 2008ish when inFamous and Prototype were being marketed at the same time and had the same release window? Generally speaking everybody thought inFamous looked like crap and Prototype looked better. Then people played them and inFamous had legs and nobody seems to remember Prototype.
I’ve completed inFamous 1 and I played inFamous 2 but didn’t finish it. I enjoy the fast and fluid gameplay, something I wish more games used (the template is Tony Hawk, just copy it), but I really didn’t get into Cole’s story and I don’t care about factions or anything like that. inFamous 2 is a fantastic example of a winning gameplay formula but I’d like to see some of these ideas in a different game that I latch onto more.

Damn it sucks to see Infamous so low, but I guess that's just an indicator of how good 2011 is for games. Infamous is one of my favorite franchises, and I probably beat Infamous 2 around eight times, and started it upwards of 30 times. It just feels great to play and it has a great tone. It also has an immensely satisfying game loop, and the boss fights are great.
Side note: It's one of the few games where the "evil" ending has people who claim it to be the better of the two options. For a game that has very binary choices, I think that's pretty rad.

If a demo ever convinced me not to play a game it was DA2's at the time Origins was one of my favorite games, and had I not absolutely hated the demo I would have bought DA2 at launch, and all I know about it is that is much less liked, for apparently good reasons, a shame really but a preview of the future of Bioware it seems.

I'm surprised to see Dragon Age II what with the negative narrative surrounding it, especially when compared with Origins. But upon learning the story, that's another "EA being EA" evidence for ya. Bioware is a hit or miss for me. LOVE Mass Effect and KOTOR, but Dragon Age and Anthem are not my thing (Setting for the former, and WAY too many problems to list for the latter). All respect to Dragon Age as a property, and I hope the next is good for no other than for fans, but I'm anxious for it.

It's really interesting this game came up. DA: Origins is one of my favorite C-RPGS, and I've avoided both sequels because of DA II's reputation.
Is that misguided?

Dragon Age ll is #14 of 23 on my list. I was really disappointed in this game when I played it originally. Especially coming after 2 of my favorite games ever in Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2.
The city of Kirkwall could have been an interesting setting but unfortunately they ran it into the ground. Every chapter was just another opportunity for the developers to use the exact same levels and enemy encounters. It felt like a cheap way to make the game, while Dragon Age Origins had you going across the map to different places like Redcliffe, Orzammar and the Mage Tower. Another thing that really bothered me is while in combat, enemies would just spawn on top of you out of nowhere. Also, the main story didn't do anything for me.
But, I decided to revisit Dragon Age ll earlier this year, and there were a few things I enjoyed more this time around. Some of the characters are very well done. I like Aveline's story, it's nice because she joins you early on, so you see most of her story, rather than having it explained to you. I think it's cool Varric is in this game, it sets up him and Cassandra being in Dragon Age Inquisition. All the Dragon Age games have strong writing and voice acting that brings these characters to life. I also had more fun with the combat this time around. I played as a healer which was different from my first play through as a Two-handed melee character. I enjoyed Managing health bars and distance during battle. It also had the added bonus of not using the healer Anders in my party, which is my least favorite Dragon Age character.
Dragon Age 2 is definitely a step back from Origins, however, it's still a good but flawed RPG.
