Need 2.6B souls to max out your character in Dark Souls 3

I just come across this video on YouTube:

I just bought Dark Souls 3 from sales (CAD$50). Early in the game (High Wall of Lothric), the fastest I can farm is about 900 souls per 3 mins per farm run without the help from the dragon's breath. At this rate, to max out my character requires about 146K hours or about 6100 days or 16 years of non-stop playing.
