  • I like your list. I would add Doom 64. Also, I'm in the "Quest 64 is good actually" camp.

    I think Ogre Battle 64 is still well regarded by fans of the series, but I haven't played it. Along the same lines, Goemon's Great Adventure is a traditional 2D Goemon game, and I often hear people prefer it over the more well known 3D one.

  • Vigilante 8 - The poor man's Twisted Metal, still a good game.

    Army Men: Air Combat - surprisingly good air combat game considering how bad a lot of those Army Men games are.

    NFL Blitz 2000 - Maybe my second favorite N64 game behind Ocarina of Time. I played it recently, it's so fast. Better frame rate than most games released this year!

  • Thanks. I’m close to setting up a CRT in my spare room and getting more N64 & GC games (waiting on the unmodded PS2 hack to dive into the PS2 library).

    My favourite N64 game is definitely Mario Party 3. It’s the series peak with the best gameplay and maps. Special shot out to Pokémon Stadium 1-2 Minigames.

  • I didn't get an N64 until about two years ago, so all the games I played when it was big was at different friends houses.

    I remember renting Glover a couple of times and we could never get past the first area, but I always thought that looked cool.

    Chameleon Twist was pretty fun, and so was Tonic Trouble. They're both pretty nice and simple platforms, Chameleon has a cool tongue grappling hook mechanic if I remember right.

    Flying Dragon is sort of a fighting game RPG where you get experience points and equipment. I was never very good at it though.

    I'll add more if I think of any throughout the day!
