Best Beginings

What beginning moments in videogames do you absolutely love? What I mean isn't necessarily the beginning of a story or mission, I mean it could be music that comes on at the start screen or an intro movie. Some of my favourite beginning moments are the title theme to Ocarina of Time-got to be the most beautiful pieces of music you can ever hope to hear on the main menu. I also really love the Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament intro videos. Shadow of War also has a great menu theme I think.

Couple that just spring to mind are FF7/RE/Link to the past.
FF7 opening movie and first mission just kick you right into the fantastic world that is FF7. The music is also just fantastic.
Resident Evil 1 with the FMV opening leading into the opening in the mansion hall way. It was really fun playing as the different characters and seeing how this and other scenes would differ depending on who you were playing as.
Link to the Past's opening with the rainy night was really something else for it's time.
There are so many good ones I could easily listed like 10 others but we'll keep it at that for now.

I've got a soft spot for PS1 intros. There are so many I would turn on just to watch beginning cinematics or listen to title screen music. That intro to Tekken 2 is so good. "Black Winter Night Sky" just pumps you so pumped up with the CG of all the characters. Same with the beginning of Wild Arms. I watched it recently and was exclaiming to my girlfriend that if there was an anime for that game, I would watch the hell out of it.
Also, as far as music goes, special shout out to the Symphony of the Night file-select screen. The soft chorus of voices is just so memorable and instantly gets you into the cozy vibe of the game.

Not the most original answer but the opening for TLoU is so elegant in transporting you through the shift that kicks off the story. Not the biggest fan of the game but what an opening.

Booting up Symphony of the Night and hearing that menu music is pure bliss.

I don't know how many times I deliberately didn't press any buttons and just listened the main theme.
-
@scotty On top of that, the intro leading up to where you start playing on a new game just puts a big smile on my face.

Talking about setting the mood, it would be sorely missed if I ever started up a Zelda game to put my name in and I didn't hear the Fairy Fountain music.

I didn't get this, can you elaborate?

@scotty oh my bad. I was thinking the beginning cutscene where Peter jumps out the window.
