5 Epic AC/DC Songs You Probably Haven't Heard*

  • *unless you're a big fan, obviously

AC/DC has their huge hits (Back In Black, Thunderstruck, Highway To Hell, You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells...), and their less common but generally popular songs (It's A Long Way To The Top, Walk All Over You, Moneytalks, Big Balls...) - but what do the AC/DC nuts go for?

Note that most of AC/DC's biggest hits are from the Brian Johnson era, particularly the singer's first album, 1980's Back In Black. But the prior Bon Scott era of the 1970's is praised by fans for being lyrically deeper, and emphasizing early rock n' roll and blues sounds over harder, more in-your-face sounds.

Finally, we have the standout track from Brian Johnson's third album, Flick of the Switch, part of AC/DC's nearly hitless mid-80's period, save for 1986's "Who Made Who". Flick of the Switch is the band's rawest and most intense album, but its unpolished production and lack of instant hooks, flashy music videos, or eye-catching cover art also make it the band's most obscure album.

  • Also, for casual observers of AC/DC, they may have seemed invisible after 1990's megahit "Thunderstruck", and 1993's one-off "Big Gun". But they kept going, and are still going! Here are the lead singles off the five albums released 1995-2020:
